Generation 13: Hamlet is a story that revolves around the Shakespearian play, Hamlet, and marks the beginning of Chapter 4. Here, the town of Avon, the Globe Theatre, and Shakespeare are introduced.

• All Theater Missions have been fixed to Intermediate Difficulty.
• Many Quest rewards have increased in EXP rewards.
• During The Tragic Bard, you may not receive the Fighter enchanted armor at the end of the dungeon.
• During Horatio's Dagger, you will receive a Red Wing of the Goddess to Ciar Dungeon along with Ferghus's Large Nail.
• During The Bard's Flute, you may bring a party to assist you.
• Completing Generation 13 now rewards 40 AP.
  • Players who have completed Generation 13 prior to the update will receive a congratulatory quest that rewards them the AP.

The Tragic Bard

Instruction	Upon logging in, you will see a cutscene, receive the quest, and obtain a Bard's Earring. Talk to Duncan. He will give you the other earring. Offer the Bard's Earring on Alby Dungeon's altar. The dungeon is like Alby Basic with less monster spawns and 1 floor. Boss: Giant Red Spider + Dark Blue Spiders × 6 All party members doing this quest will receive the Author's Notebook upon defeating the boss. Read it to see a cutscene. The Dungeon rewards are the same as Basic Alby Dungeon. In addtion, you may receive a Fighter-enchanted Light Leather Mail (M), Light Leather Mail (F), or Pirta Leather Armor from the reward chest, according to your race and/or gender. Talk to Duncan. Avon

Instruction	Use the Avon Feather to get to Avon and a cutscene will play. Once there, talk to Marlowe. He will give you a Blank Hamlet Script, Hamlet Act 1 Scene 1, and Soldier Waterdrop Cap. Although he tells you to wear the Waterdrop Cap, it is not required. Enter the Globe Theater. Watch the cutscene and talk to the guard afterward. The mission will be complete. The Blank Hamlet Script will become a Hamlet Script. Stage Dungeon Rewards: 10,000 EXP Complete the quest. [7,500 EXP and 5 SP 30 Potions] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Elsinore Castle

Instruction	Talk to Marlowe. He will give you an Hamlet Act 1 Scene 2. Enter the Globe Theater. Watch the cutscene. You will receive the Royal Letter to Norway. Defeat the monsters that appear afterward. Elsinore Rat × 3 → Elsinore Rat × 3 + Large Elsinore Rat. You will then be transported to a different area. Afterwards, another cutscene plays. Laertes's Departure

Instruction	Speak to Marlowe. He will give you an Hamlet Act 1 Scene 3. Enter the Globe Theater. Watch the cutscene. Talk to Laertes and defeat the monsters that appear afterward. Snow Troll × 4 → Snow Troll × 4 → Giant Snow Troll. A cutscene plays before fighting the Giant Snow Troll. The trolls in this mission are significantly weaker than average. Laertes most likely does more damage than you, especially against the Giant Snow Troll. It is not necessary to aid him. Laertes has enough HP and Defense so don't worry about him dying. When Laertes kills an opponent, you will not receive any EXP from the kill or be able to pick up any items they drop. After defeating the monsters, another cutscene plays which ends the script. The Hamlet Script will be updated. Stage Dungeon Rewards: 12,000 EXP Complete the quest. [7,500 EXP] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Horatio's Dagger

Instruction	Talk to Marlowe. Use the Avon Feather and go to Tir Chonaill to talk to Ferghus. He will give you Ferghus's Large Nail and a Red Wing of the Goddess to Ciar Dungeon. Offer Ferghus's Large Nail on Ciar Dungeon's altar. The number of floors depends on your total level. Level 1~299: Ciar Beginner (One floor) Level 300~999: Ciar Normal (Two floors, roughly the length of Alby Normal) Level 1000+: Ciar Basic (Two floors) In the boss room, you will see a cutscene. Upon defeating the boss, you will receive a Blacksmith's Lost Hammer. Talk to Ferghus and you will receive Horatio's Dagger. Complete the quest. [7,500 EXP] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Ghost of Elsinore

Instruction	Deliver Horatio's Dagger to Marlowe. He will give you Hamlet Act 1 Scene 4. Enter the Globe Theater. Watch the cutscene. You will then have to fight Elsinore Ghosts with Horatio. Elsinore Ghost × 6 → Elsinore Ghost × 5 Horatio's damage is insufficient, so you must do all the work. Horatio has enough HP and Defense, but can fall to an Elsinore Ghost with a spotlight on it. Another cutscene plays which ends the script. The Hamlet Script will be updated. Stage Dungeon Rewards: 12,000 EXP Complete the quest. Polonius's Request

Instruction	Talk to Marlowe. He will give you Hamlet Act 1 Scene 5. Enter the Globe Theater. Talk to the Butler. The butler will give you Laertes's Package. You will then be warped to another area. Defeat the Gray Wolves. Gray Wolf × 2 → Gray Wolves × 3 → Gray Wolves × 2 → Fenrir You may encounter a bug that won't let you get to the wolves. To fix this you have to start the scene over. Watch the cutscene. You will receive an Ancient Avon Relic and the script will end. The Hamlet Script will be updated. Stage Dungeon Rewards: 12,000 EXP Talk to Marlowe. Use the Avon Feather to get to Tir Chonaill. Talk to Duncan (he will take the Ancient Avon Relic) and complete the quest. [7,500 EXP and 5 HP 30 Potions] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Ancient Avon Relic

Instruction	Talk to Duncan. Speak with Trefor. Head over to the three-way path connecting to Tir Chonaill, Alby Dungeon, and Sidhe Sneachta. There will be a stone slab with an apple on it. Hit it once and you will receive a Lost Avon Relic. Bring the Lost Avon Relic to Duncan. Complete the quest. [19,000 EXP] Wait a short while for the next quest.

The Prince's Madness

Instruction	Use the Avon Feather to get to Avon and talk to Marlowe. He will give you Hamlet Act 2 Scene 1. Enter the Globe Theater. Watch the cutscene. Defeat 3 Young Goblins that appear. Watch the next cutscene, clearing the script. The Hamlet Script will be updated. Stage Dungeon Rewards: 19,000 EXP Wait a short while to get the next quest [12,000 EXP].

Marlowe's Manuscript

Instruction	Talk to Marlowe. Talk to Malcolm in Tir Chonaill. Obtain a Small Gem by hitting either a lamppost, sign, or the various pots found in front of the General Store. Note: Gathering the Small Gem before the quest won't count, neither will dropping it and picking it back up. You have to get it from the environment in order for it to count. Bring the Small Gem to Malcolm. Complete the quest. [7,500 EXP] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern

Instruction	Talk to Marlowe. You will see a cutscene and then receive Hamlet Act 2 Scene 2. Enter the Globe Theater. Watch the cutscene. Talk to the Man Afraid of Ghosts. Defeat the three Elsinore Ghosts that appear. Talk to the Man Afraid of Ghosts again. The scene will change. Talk to the Cleaning Maid. Defeat the three Elsinore Rats that appear. Talk to the Cleaning Maid again. The scene will change and you will see a cutscene. The Grim Reaper will appear, attacking you and Shakespeare. The Grim Reaper is immune to all damage, so simply avoid its attacks. A cutscene will cut short the fight, ending the script. Shakespeare has enough HP and Defense will survive the attacks done by the Grim Reaper. The Grim Reaper uses Teleportation. The Reaper attacks by striking the ground across or in front of it which draws unholy energy. It can also dive through the ground to appear behind its target and attack. The Hamlet Script will be updated. Stage Dungeon Rewards: 12,000 EXP Complete the quest. [12,000 EXP] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Avon Dressing Room

Instruction	Talk to Marlowe. Talk to Simon in Dunbarton. Shear 5 bundles of wool from Sheep outside the west of Dunbarton. To Shear, you need to use a sort of bladed weapon like a Sword; ideally, you would want to use a Gathering Knife. Using an upgrade Gathering Knife that allows double Wool drops in a single shear will only count as 1, not 2. Note: Like Marlowe's Manuscript, pre-gathering won't work. Talk to Simon. He will take 5 wool and give you a Stage Costume. Complete the quest. [10,000 EXP] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Royal Castle Drama Festival

Instruction	Give the Stage Costume to Marlowe. You will receive Hamlet Act 3 Scene 1. Enter the Globe Theater. Watch the cutscene. As soon as a spotlight shines on you, click the yellow button at the bottom center of the screen to 'act'. If you don't do this fast enough, the spotlight will vanish, and you will have to restart the entire play. After three 'acts', another cutscene ends the script. The Hamlet Script will be updated. There will be another cutscene. Stage Dungeon Rewards: 10,000 EXP Complete the quest. [10,000 EXP] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Unraveling Truth

Instruction	Upon receiving the quest, you will also receive Hamlet Act 3 Scene 2. Enter the Globe Theater. You will have to follow Claudius without him noticing you. Claudius has a range of vision represented as a blue fan shaped graphic in front of his feet. You are to avoid coming into contact with it. You will automatically be in a state similar to Hide, and will only be able to walk. However, you use a "sneaking" animation instead of the regular walking one. If you get too close to Claudius he will notice you, and if you are too far away he will disappear. Either way, both scenarios will lead to failure and the play must be restarted. On-screen messages will flash, indicating whether you are too close or too far from him. You may find a picture of how Claudius walks here. Tip: The animation of the walking can be skipped by holding down the mouse button right in front of your character. This allows you to skip the slow stepping animation and keep up with him more easily. When you are successful, you will see a cutscene, ending the script. The Hamlet Script will be updated. Truth

You will then see a cutscene, ending the script. If the cutscene does not start on its own, step closer to Queen Gertrude to trigger it. The Hamlet Script will be updated. The Bard's Flute

Instruction	Talk to Marlowe. Talk to Nele in Emain Macha. You will receive a Siren's Conch Shell. Offer the Siren's Conch Shell on Rundal Dungeon's altar. 1-299 (Beginner/Intermediate) Shortened Rundal Normal, 1 floor 300-999 (Advanced) Rundal Basic, 3 floors 1000+ (Hard) Rundal Basic, 3 floors The boss is a Siren. Upon defeating the Siren, you will see a cutscene and then receive a Siren's Flute. Talk to Nele. You will also gain knowledge of the Enthralling Performance skill. He won't take your flute though. Complete the quest. [10,000 EXP] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Sea of Pain

	Information
Instruction	Talk to Marlowe. He will give you Hamlet Act 4 Scene 1 and Horatio's Letter. Enter the Globe Theater. It is solo RP mission. You must RP as Hamlet and defeat all the spawns to clear the mission. Hamlet wields Rank F of First Aid and Rest and Rank 2 Combat Mastery, Critical Hit, Smash, Defense, Counterattack, Windmill and Rank 9 Firebolt, and Healing. It is possible to learn Sword Mastery by weapon cycling twice and Fire Mastery by using Firebolt. Hamlet has 2 AP. Therefore, it is possible to achieve Sword Mastery Rank E (roughly at the end of the third and last wave of monsters). Hamlet also has 10 HP 50 Potions and 10 SP 50 Potions. Elsinore Rat × 4 → Elsinore Rat × 4 → Elsinore Rat × 3 + Big Elsinore Rat. A cutscene will play, and a new set of monsters will take role. Pirate Crewman Skeleton × 1 → Pirate Crewman Skeleton × 2 → Pirate Crewman Skeleton × 2 + Pirate Captain Skeleton. If you die, the mission fails automatically with all the monsters despawning. You are aided by Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. If either of them die, the mission fails. Although you are aided by the two, they barely deal any damage, so you have to do all the fighting. The Elsinore Rats won't deal much damage, though the Crewman Skeletons are most likely to kill them. The Hamlet Script will be updated. You do not get any experience from doing the RP mission. Complete the quest. [10,000 EXP and Fox Cores' Oriental Long Boots] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Revolution

Instruction	Upon receiving the quest, you will also receive Hamlet Act 4 Scene 2. Enter the Globe Theater. You will see a cutscene, then you will have to protect the Civilians from the attacking squad of Sentries. All the NPCs will do very low damage, whether it is aimed against you or other NPCs. However, the Sentry's Smash and Counterattack are quite lethal, especially if you don't have enough Defense/Protection. You must hold out against the Sentries for 5 minutes and 15 seconds, in which a cutscene will end the play. In some cases it can take even more time. The Hamlet Script will be updated. Stage Dungeon Rewards: 41400 EXP Complete the quest. [5,000 EXP] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

The Return of Hamlet

Instruction	Talk to Marlowe. He will give you Hamlet Act 4 Scene 3. Enter the Globe Theater. You will see a cutscene, then have to fight 6 Ghost Cloakers. The Cloakers are nothing like those from Peaca Basic. They lack Chain Casting and statistics they originally possessed. There will be another cutscene, ending the script. The Hamlet Script will be updated. Stage Dungeon Rewards: 12,000 EXP Complete the quest. [4,000 EXP] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Duel

Another cutscene will cut the play prior to Hamlet's defeat. The Hamlet Script will be updated. Stage Dungeon Rewards: 9,999 EXP Complete the quest. Final Act

Instruction	Talk to Marlowe. He will give you Hamlet Act 5 Scene 2. Enter the Globe Theater. A long cutscene will play before you fight the Grim Reaper. The Grim Reaper has Teleportation as well as Advanced Heavy Stander. Teleportation allows it to vanish from one spot to another and Advanced Heavy Stander prevents it from being stunned, knocked back or knocked down. Fortunately, the Grim Reaper possesses no Passive Defenses, meaning your attacks are not halted by the Reaper. To effectively defeat the Reaper, you must run around it while attacking. Using skills that halt you such as Magic or Alchemy may make you vulnerable to the Reaper's attacks. If you take a blow from any of the Reaper's attack you will be cursed, causing your HP, MP, and SP to drain quickly. Simply do not take any hits for a while and the curse will fade away. Once the Reaper is defeated, Generation 13 is over. The Hamlet Script will be updated for the final time and the story of Hamlet will be complete. Stage Dungeon Rewards: 50,000 EXP Finally, complete the last quest. [20,000 EXP and 40 Ability Points] You will be rewarded with the Personas of Hamlet's Anguish, Claudius's Conspiracy and Ophelia's Tears. You will be able to touch the Sword of Elsinore which is located a bit north-west of Avon's square. However, in order to obtain it, you must be wearing the Rosemary Gloves. If you have completed Generation 13 prior to the G17S4 renewal, you will receive a congratulatory quest for clearing Generation 13 and receive 40 Ability Points after completion of the quest.
