This skill will use all of your remaining Mana Bullets to attack, firing 4 shots per enemy. Load more Mana Bullets to inflict greater damage on more enemies. If you use this skill along with Way of the Gun, you can take on even huge groups.

Details

  • Requires Dual Guns to use.
  • Fires bullets at multiple enemies in front of the user.
  • Consumes 4 bullets per enemy hit, attacking each enemy four times and knocking them back.
    • The number of enemies that can be hit is limited by how many bullets the chamber has left. For example, if one has 24 bullets in the chamber, only (24/4) = 6 enemies are struck, even if more are present in the field.
    • The firing animation extends as more enemies are hit.
  • When the skill is used, red arrows will mark potential targets who will be affected by the skill.
    • These arrows are only guidelines as enemies can move in and out of range during the skill's execution.
  • More enemies hit by this skill increases its overall damage, calculated as Skill Rank Damage per Target * Number of Enemies.
    • All four shots add up to the amount of damage listed in proportion to the skill's rank.
    • Maximum damage is reached when attacking 5 or more targets.
  • During the animation of firing, each enemy will be hit one by one four times each. Additionally, the user is stationary while firing, leaving them vulnerable.
    • Should the user be interrupted during the start of the firing animation, the skill will end prematurely but bullets not fired will not be counted out of the chamber.
      • The skill cannot be interrupted in the later parts of the animation.
    • The skill's cooldown starts upon usage of the skill.
  • The multiple hits dealt by gunshots are purely cosmetic.
    • The total damage of all the hits is equal to the actual damage dealt.
    • This means that Proficiency is gained and Durability is lost for only one hit rather than four times, Critical Hit is calculated only once rather than separately for each individual hit, and if a Critical Hit is scored, all four bullets will deal a Critical Hit on all enemies.
  • The user cannot move while Bullet Storm is loaded.
  • Bullet Storm causes all impacted enemies to aggro.
  • Bullet Storm ignores an enemy's Defense, Counterattack, Lance Counter, or Chain: Counter Punch.
  • Bullet Storm cannot target Barrier Spikes nor shoot over them.
  • Bullet Storm can be loaded but cannot be used in Rafting.
  • Bullet Storm can hit enemies in Flight.
  • Bullet Storm ignores Protection when calculating Critical Hit.
  • As a Ranged ability, the effects are shunted by Natural Shield.

Skill Issues

  • Bullet Storm may not properly target enemies even though they are in range which may prevent execution of the skill.
    • This can be remedied by reloading the skill and/or moving a bit before loading, but the error may occur again.

Training Method

Tips

  • Bullet Storm does not require any CP-related tasks in order to be trained, however many of Bullet Storm's requirement is to hit a certain amount of enemies and triggering critical hit, which is difficult to achieve due to the skill's small range and pure luck, respectively. Training also cascades in that if you finish a requirement that attack 6 or more enemies, you will subsequently fulfill other requirements that requires smaller amounts of enemies, such as attack 5 or more enemies and so forth. To utilized as much training as possible, it is best to fulfill the maximum amount of enemies attack criteria.
  • The best training spots for Bullet Storm would be Dungeons or Shadow Missions with densely populated enemies. Mimic pits and Skeleton rooms in Rabbie Dungeon are some areas where training might be desirable. Pole rooms are also desirable due to the sheer amount of enemies that can spawn.
    • Another training hotspot would be Dorren's Request for early to mid ranks due to the ability to spawn groups of enemies at will but at for ranks A+ where the maximum requirement calls for 5+ enemies, the number of enemies will be insufficient.
    • Likewise, Shadow Missions such as The Sulfur Spider inside Shadow Realm provides a good amount of enemies in certain early rooms with constant spawning of enemies. Their Method and Shadow Cast City are also excellent choices for early to mid ranks of Bullet Storm since the enemies tend to spawn very close to each other.
    • White Spiders in Tir Chonaill's graveyard are also a good start, though it may be difficult to group them up later on.
    • Zombies in Tir Chonaill (Another World)'s graveyard is also an effective place, since their Natural Shield renders Bullet Storm's damage to 1. One can pull them into a corner and Bullet Storm them there.
      • However, this method does not count toward the requirement "Perform a finishing blow on an enemy", though this is not required to advance the skill and with enough training through this method one will not need that requirement.
    • Skills such as Enthralling Performance can also be used to gather sparse weaker enemies in groups in order to hit them with Bullet Storm.
  • Due to the skill's high Mana usage, it is suggested to have Mana Potions, a high rank Meditation or Enduring Melody, and/or a Nimbus for its Restful Wind.
  • Due to the skill's high ammo usage, it is strongly recommended to upgrade a Dual Gun, especially Taunes MK3, with "Replace Magazine" to increase the Dual Gun's maximum clip size by 8 which allows two more enemies to be hit by Bullet Storm.
