Description
The smuggler is too engrossed in his book to notice you. As he jots down his notes, he absently strokes his fur cap. "Good wolfie," he whispers, "Scare those bandits away." Sometimes, gold falls out of his pocket, and he doesn't even notice.
Byrun is a wandering smuggler that trades a specific Commerce item each Erinn Day for a higher buying price. All players can trade with the smuggler, however only players with any Life Skill Talent (except for Holy Arts) will be notified at around 7:00 PM in-game of where Byrun will be located as well as the daily trade good.
- When he appears, the commerce post shows how much Byrun is willing to pay for an item, but is only displayed for players with any Life Skill Talent.
- At 10:00 PM, Byrun will appear at the specific destination where goods can go through a transaction and a reminder to merchants of the daily trade good and his location.
- At 3:00 AM merchants receive a reminder of where he is located, though the daily trade good is not mentioned, before he leaves at 6:00 AM.
- This notification will not be shown if a notification is already showing on the banner at the top of the screen.
- Changing channels a while before the notification is set to appear may help fix this.

- During the April Fools 2023 quest [Event] CSI: Commerce Smuggler Investigation, it is revealed Byrun's Best Friend is actually a human using Transformation Mastery and they've been secretly stealing ducats from Byrun.
- According to Tupai, Byrun's Best Friend looks like Kusina and wears sky blue clothing.
