I've noticed that some of the final stats on upgrades are incorrect. This could be due to bad math or bad data on specific upgrades, but something needs to be done about it. I've found at least 2 weapons with identical final stats side by side, and different upgrade paths for each.

Many of the upgrade sequences came from me google-translating a Japanese website. I'm not perfect, so if there are errors, go ahead and fix them. --- Angevon 19:13, 7 August 2008 (PDT)

Change upgrade paths

I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but what would you guys think if we went into all the weapon upgrade paths, and then did comparisons between its regular stats and the upgrade path's stats, and show how much a difference is there. I don't really know how we would do it, here's two ideas I had:

  • Change the color of the stat to blue if it was higher than the base stat or red if its lower.
  • Redo all the upgrade paths to show how much it increases (or Decreases) a stat.
    • Example: Minimum Attack +20, Maximum Attack +50, Critical +6, Balance -50, Durability -5, etc.

Just my thoughts, and if we did the second. The second has some pros and cons, but I personally don't see anything wrong with the first option.--Marthian 05:15, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

The grades section on weapon pages is cluttered and annoying. All weapons follow a specific grading for monster dropped and smithed (There are 4 different monster drop standards). Can't we just list that somewhere instead? When a monster drops a weapon its grade is entirely random with few exceptions.

That's fine with me. Maybe make a note of it on this category's main page.

The info on monster dropped grades is incomplete. It only explains items with durability increases of +1~8, but there are weapons with more than that(like the Crystal Lightning and Crown Ice wands dropped by Balrog and Neid with +7~10).

The grade of special durability drops is determined by their alternative stat boosts, not their durability. For example, the desert dragon drops several base grade items with 20 durability.

Isn't that denoted as "Weapon Name (X Durability)?"

Yes and no. For standard monster drops the durability is semi-linked to the stat boosts, but Field bosses have their own special drop table.
