Fishing
(Redirected from Fished)
Description
Fishing is a useful skill to use when catching fish in the water. You can easily start fishing with Fishing Rod and Bait, but you need more than that to fish even better. You must know how to adequately attach the Bait, have the judgment to choose a good place, and have the patience to wait until a fish is caught once all the preparations is done. Once fish is caught, you must control the single fishing line and quickly snatch it up as the fish will challenge you with its strength. This is why many people refer to experienced fishermen as the masters of life. |
Details
- Requires a fishing tool and fishing bait equipped in order to use.
- Every attempt to pull out a hooked item will use 1 bait.
- Allows the player to fish at most bodies of water for items. For a list of items by location, see Fished Items List. For a list of all fish by location, see Fish List.
- Higher ranks of this skill decreases the time in-between catches, increases the auto-fishing success percentage, and increases the chance to catch larger-sized fish.
- Fishing has no effect on the type of item acquired.
- Rank F Fishing is required to fish at Reus River.
- Auto fishing success rate can also be increased with the use of things like: a fishing chair, fishing titles like SAO Nishida, Ice Fisher 2nd Title, or Shenon 2nd Title, and Equipment Combination Effects from the Adonis set.
- Some fishing second titles, like the ones mentioned above, can also help with increasing the chances of catching bigger fish.
- If the player's inventory is full while fishing, any item received will not go to the temporary and, instead, will immediately drop to the ground.
- Dropped items from fishing will not be able to be picked up by anyone except the person who fished them.
- Dropped items from fishing will eventually disappear at a rate based on their resell value, with low-value items disappearing in a short time and expensive items taking longer to disappear.
- If you plan to fish idle for a long period of time, be sure to check back occasionally in case you have fished up something or else it will disappear.
- Most equipment fished up will have 0 durability, but can be repaired.
- This does not necessarily apply to event items obtained through fishing.
- This does not apply to equipment that are irreparable, such as a Gargoyle Sword.
- You may not move while loading this skill, and you may not load this skill while standing on top of someone who is using this skill.

Ice Fishing
In Physis, the areas where you can fish are frozen solid.
- Ice Fishing is only available in the Reus River and Homesteads located in Physis.
- Fishing must be at least Rank F in order to go Ice Fishing.
To make a Fishing Hole for Ice Fishing, you will need to make a hole in the ice. There are 2 methods to do this:
- If you are a Giant, load Stomp and click anywhere on the ice. This will create the hole.
- Using a Golem's Stomp from Summon Golem will not suffice.
- If you do not have the Stomp Skill, or are a Human, use Land Maker with a Snowfield L-Rod.
- Humans will need to be allied with the Giants and trade in a Snowfield L-Rod for Giants for one that can be equipped by Humans.
- As Elf characters do not have access to the Snowfield L-Rod, they have no options to Ice Fish.
Not all areas on the frozen river will allow a hole to be made, so you may have to move around a bit to find the right area.
- Once a hole has been made, you may start Fishing, but the hole will close in 2 hours (real time). Once it is closed, any fishing in progress will be canceled.
