Generation 1: Advent of the Goddess, also known as The Advent of Morrighan, is the beginning of Chapter 1 and of Mabinogi: Fantasy Life. A character known as the Milletian descends into the world of Erinn and its first continent, Uladh. There, the Milletian meets a tribe of Humans known as the Tuatha de Danann who constantly combat monsters known as the Fomorian. As the plot unravels, a plane known as Tir Na Nog is uncovered. Mainly, the story revolves around the Goddess Morrighan, however the sinister Fomorian God known as Cichol has other plans for Humanity's Goddess.

  1. Upon logging in, you will see a cutscene. You will then receive a quest. (Elves And Giants receive cutscene after completing Trefor's "Rescue the Villager" quest.)
  2. Find a Lost Earring among countless snowmen in the field of Sidhe Sneachta. A bulletin board in the snowfield will provide a vital clue in distinguishing the lone snowman within which the earring is to be found from all the others.
    • The snowman is located almost directly south of the portal to the Northern Field of Sidhe Sneachta, four snowmen down. The snowman is indicated with a sparkling effect, and the quest marker hovers over it.
    • Hit the snowman until a Lost Earring drops; you cannot accept another player's earring.
    • You cannot get the earring before getting the quest(?).

  3. Deliver the Lost Earring to Duncan in Tir Chonaill's Village Chief's House.
    • If you have multiple copies of the earring, they all vanish together from your inventory.
  4. The quest will auto complete and you will be rewarded 1500 EXP, 1700 Gold, 8 Mana Herbs, and 2 AP.

Give the Mana Herb to the bear.

If you somehow lose the Mana Herbs from the previous quest, you will have to either run a dungeon that has Herb Patches (Mana Herbs are from Blue Herb patches), buy Mana Herbs from other players, or pick Mana Herbs from someone's Homestead, Clover Pig, Clover Gnu, or Herb Pig.

Instruction

  1. Head to the northernmost point of Sidhe Sneachta and talk to the Bear with at least 5 Mana Herbs in your inventory. You will receive the Tarlach Keyword.
    • The Bear only appears during daylight hours (6:00AM to 6:00PM or 6:00 to 18:00).
    • If you are attempting to enter the northern part of Sidhe Sneachta at night, you will be unable to enter until it is daytime. This only happens if you are on this quest.
  2. The quest will auto complete and you will be rewarded 2200 EXP.

You will be doing a Role-Playing, or RP, Dungeon. RP Dungeons/Quests have the player role-play as someone else for the duration of the dungeon. This will not affect the actual player in anyway. See Role-Playing Quests for more information on how this works.
Although you are given a Red Wing of the Goddess to Alby Dungeon, you may want to save it and use a Moon Gate and go to Tir Chonaill. Alby Dungeon is located to the North of the Tir Chonaill Area.
All players on this quest will fulfill the requirement if they are required to do the Role-Play Dungeon.

Instruction

  1. Talk to Stewart located in Dunbarton's Magic School. You will receive Tarlach's Locket and a Red Wing of the Goddess that transports to Alby Dungeon.
  2. Drop Tarlach's Locket on the altar of Alby Dungeon to begin a Role-Play quest.
    • Two other people may join, although soloing is possible.
    • The Party Leader will role-play as Tarlach, while the other two will RP as Mari and Ruairi. If the dungeon is soloed, you will become Ruairi.
    • The dungeon contains Alby Normal spawns.
    • If the RP somehow fails, another Locket must be obtained. Go back to Stewart in Dunbarton for another locket.
      • Keep in mind that if any quest specific item is lost, you will have to go back to the NPC that gave the item to you in the first place. This applies to any quest specific item across all Generation Quests.
    • Upon clearing the RP dungeon, you will obtain the Goddess Morrighan Keyword.
  3. Talk to Duncan.
  4. The quest will auto-complete and you will receive 12000 EXP.

The Story of the Goddess

Paradise

You may want to consider bringing at least 1 or 2 experienced players since the mobs, as well as the boss, in this dungeon may prove rather difficult to clear at lower levels.

Instruction

  1. Read the book to obtain the Paradise Keyword.
  2. Talk to Tarlach. He will take the book in exchange for a Brown Fomor Pass and a Red Wing of the Goddess that transports to Barri Dungeon.
  3. Drop the pass onto Barri Dungeon's Altar and complete the dungeon.
    • Two other players may join.
    • This dungeon is one floor, only containing a few rooms.
    • This dungeon contains the following monsters: King Mimic, Spike Laghodessa, Brown Gremlin, Gray Gremlin, Green Gremlin, and Flying Sword.
    • Note: Aiding humans cannot transform into a Paladin nor Dark Knight, but Elves and Giants are able to become Falcons and Beasts, respectively. All races are capable of using Awakening of Light.
    • The boss room consists of a Black Wizard and 3 Wisps.
      • It is recommended to draw out the Wisps individually then draw them out from the boss room. Defeat the Wisps as quickly as possible, especially if you are soloing.
      • The Black Wizard has a rather large radius of detection. Be wary of the distance between you and the Black Wizard.
    • The Fomor Medal Keyword is given upon defeating the boss.
    • Obtain the Fomor Medal from the reward chest. It may come out of a party mate's reward chest instead of your own, so make sure to check theirs if you did not receive it from yours (hold down the Left ALT key for a better view of dropped items).
      • Other party members can pick up the Fomor Medal, but it can be dropped and picked back up.
      • If you have disconnected after obtaining the keyword but before you have obtained the Fomor Medal, you must repeat the dungeon.
  4. The quest will auto-complete and 5550 EXP and 2 AP are rewarded.

  4. Talk to Goro.

  2. Drop Tarlach's Glasses Pouch on the altar of Rabbie Dungeon.

  3. Talk to Tarlach. He will take The Book of Revenge from you in exchange for the Mores' Lost Property Keyword.
  4. Talk to Eavan located at Dunbarton's Town Office.
  5. Talk to Kristell to obtain a Broken Torque and a Red Wing of the Goddess that transports to Math Dungeon.
  6. The quest will auto-complete and you will receive 6300 EXP, 2500 Gold, and 3 AP.

You will be Role-Playing as Mores. It is a solo dungeon. Mores is an all powerful wizard who is capable of Chain Casting. You can use any type of offensive magic, such as Fireball or Icebolt, and successfully produce five charges as opposed to one. Be aware that despite being a powerful character, careless play can still result in failure.

Instruction

  1. Drop the Broken Torque onto the altar of Math Dungeon.
    • The dungeon is quite large and consists of Kobolds, Gray Town Rats, and Mimics.
    • Should you lose the torque in any way for whatever reason, simply go back to Kristell and speak to her with Mores' Lost Property keyword.
    • You will RP as Mores. He is an incredibly powerful Druid with Rank 1 of Icebolt, Firebolt, Lightning Bolt, and Fireball. In addition, he has the ability to Chain Cast all four spells.
      • Lightning Bolt can be very useful for clearing rooms quickly, as well as hitting Mimics as long as there are other enemies nearby.
      • Fireball can only be cast with a Fire Wand, which Mores has equipped. Although it takes 4 seconds to cast and 3 seconds to impact, it can annihilate most of the room in one hit.
    • Boss is 6 Ghost Armors; only 3 need to be defeated to view the cutscene that will end the RP. The Morrighan's Revenge Keyword will also be given.
  2. The quest will auto-complete and you will receive 6,300 EXP and 3 AP.

Find the Book of Revenge, Vol. II

If you decided to use the Red Wing of the Goddess from the previous quest, be sure to pick up a Wings of a Goddess. If you do not leave the dungeon lobby, you can use the Wings of a Goddess to return to Dunbarton without the destination changing from "Dunbarton" to "Tir Chonaill." It is a solo dungeon.
You will be fighting a creature called a Golem at the Boss Room. It will be accompanied by 6 Metal Skeletons. Ideally, you will want to take out the Skeletons first, and then take out the Golem. See their individual pages for more information on how to combat them.

Instruction

  1. Drop the Wizard's Note on the altar of Ciar Dungeon.
    • The spawn is that of a Ciar Normal, consisting of two floors.
    • The Book of Revenge, Vol. 2 is obtained at the reward chest.
    • If you fail to finish the dungeon, you can go to Aeira and get another Wizard's Note by talking to her with the Wizard Note keyword.
  2. Talk to Kristell.
    • Ciar Dungeon is somewhat of a distance from Dunbarton. It is recommended to have a Wings of Goddess in Dunbarton then use the Red Wings of Goddess to Ciar; the normal Wings of Goddess will still be under Dunbarton when you are in the dungeon lobby. This will save traveling time.
      • Important Note: For the dungeon to be counted as "completed," the player must exit to the dungeon lobby after obtaining the book using the Dungeon Altar at the end of the Dungeon. Using a Wings of Goddess prior to exiting the dungeon will result in the player having to obtain another pass and complete the dungeon again.
  3. The quest will auto-complete and you will receive 9900 EXP and 1 AP.

  1. Talk to Kristell to obtain The Book of Revenge, Vol. 3 (Translated)
  2. (Optional) Read the book to obtain the Glas Ghaibhleann Keyword.
  3. Talk to Duncan. He will take the book in exchange for the Destructive Glas Ghaibhleann Keyword.
  4. Talk to Bryce located at Bangor's Bank to obtain the Glas Ghaibhleann's Bones Keyword and the book The Embodiment of Destruction, Glas Ghaibhleann.
  5. The quest will auto-complete and you will receive 2000 EXP, 6700 Gold, and 2 AP.

You will be running Fiodh Dungeon. This dungeon has a lot of forestry, as well as grass to obstruct your view. The use of Ctrl-Targeting is recommended.

Instruction

  1. Drop any item onto Fiodh Dungeon's altar.
    • Up to 7 other members may join.
    • It is similar to Fiodh Normal, although the spawns are reduced and is approximately half length.
    • Obtain the Magic Powder of Preservation from the dungeon reward chest. The Magic Powder may come from any reward chest, so be sure to check your party mates' chests if you did not get it from yours.
      • Bug Notice: Other players can pick up the Magic Powder of Preservation and cannot give it to you. Should this happen, you will have to repeat the dungeon.
      • Multiple players doing the same quest can obtain the Magic Powder of Preservation at the reward chamber without having to repeat the dungeon.
  2. Talk to Tarlach. He will take the Magic Powder.
  3. The quest will auto-complete and you will receive 2750 EXP, 6500 Gold, 4 AP, Tarlach's Preserved Broken Glasses and a Red Wing of the Goddess which transports you to Rabbie Dungeon.

  1. Drop Tarlach's Preserved Broken Glasses on the altar of Rabbie Dungeon.
    • If you lose Tarlach's Preserved Broken Glasses for any reason, talk to Tarlach with the Glas Ghaibhleann's Bone keyword to receive another.
    • The person you will role-play as is dependent on the number of party members.
      • If the dungeon is entered with a party of two, the party leader will role-play as Tarlach, the second party member will become Mari.
      • If the dungeon is entered with a party of three, the party leader will role-play as Tarlach, the second party member will become Ruairi and the third party member will become Mari.
      • If the dungeon is soloed, you will become Mari.
    • The dungeon is 2 floors long. The last floor only contains 2 rooms.
      • The miniboss is 7 Ghost Armors. Once those are defeated, the Boss, the Dark Lord will appear.
        • The Dark Lord has immmune to both magic and melee; Mari's Archery Skills can defeat him.
        • While the Dark Lord is immune to the attacks of Tarlach and Ruairi, they can still aid Mari by serving as a distraction.
    • After defeating the Dark Lord, he will drop the Boss Key which allows you to open the boss room door and end the RP. You will also receive the Morrighan's Betrayal Keyword.
  2. The quest will auto-complete and you will receive 6300 EXP and 2500 Gold.

This dungeon is almost the same as Clear Math Dungeon. Only it will be from Shiela's point of view. The dungeon tactics used in "Clear Math Dungeon." will work just as effectively.
If you are going in with a partner, be aware that despite being a spiritual ghost that cannot be seen, you are still a regular character with the same rules and boundaries as playing as another character.

Instruction

  1. Talk to Duncan. You will receive a Broken Torque, a Red Wing of the Goddess that transports to Math Dungeon, and the Broken Torque Keyword.
  2. Drop the Broken Torque on Math Dungeon's Altar.
    • The Party Leader will role-play as Shiela, while the Party Mate becomes Mores. If the dungeon is soloed, you will become Mores.
      • Shiela is incredibly weak, although her Healing surpasses Mores' by one rank. Therefore, Mores must do all the fighting.
      • Despite being an incorporeal ghost, Shiela is still a regular character and can be harmed by enemies.
    • If you lose the torque, talk to Eavan with the "Broken Torque" keyword to receive another one.
    • This RP is exactly the same thing as Clear Math Dungeon., except the cutscenes are played from Shiela's perspective.
    • You will receive the Cichol Keyword upon completion of the RP.
  3. Talk to Duncan.
  4. Talk to Tarlach.
  5. The quest will auto-complete and you will receive 9900 EXP and 2 AP.

Duncan's Urgent Call

  4. The quest will auto-complete, you will receive 3750 EXP and 2 AP.

This dungeon can be done on any day, despite the pass saying it must be done on Samhain, or Saturday.
You will be entering an alternate plane of Erinn. In this world, you will be unable to get up with the help of Nao. Furthermore, you will not be able to get up at dungeon statues in this alternative plane. Having friends or people in your party when running the dungeons in this place is highly recommended.

Instruction

  1. Drop the Black Fomor Pass on the altar of Barri Dungeon.
    • The spawns are that of Barri Normal, although it is only one floor with very few rooms.
    • Defeat monsters in the boss room (Wisp × 4, Flying Sword × 3) and open the door in the end chamber contain the Crossroads Gateway.
      • To break the seal, click on the side statues of the gateway.
  2. Take the portal connecting Erinn and Another World. The player who had dropped Black Evil Pass will acquire the title the Seal Breaker of Another World upon breaking the Crossroad Gateway's seal.
    • Another World is a parallel world of Tir Chonaill. Another World's Tir Chonaill is far more dangerous than in the normal Tir Chonaill. Any areas beyond the Pasture are now completely blocked off, as well as the southern exit. Alby Dungeon is replaced with Albey Dungeon.
      • Every single house is deserted and there is only one NPC near the House: Dougal.
      • You may not resurrect on the spot while exploring Another World until you complete the quest.
    • Since there are no healers or repairers, one should be well prepared before entering Another World.
    • Bare necessities (Health/Stamina Potions, Bandages, Phoenix Feathers) are sold by Dougal.
    • Arrows cannot be purchased. However, Dingos found around Another World drop arrows frequently.
    • Another World's Albey Dungeon lacks Goddess Statues, so only party members are able to revive unconscious players.
      • If a party is wiped out while inside the dungeon, and a player has dropped an equipment upon unconsciousness, it is impossible to regain the item without returning to Erinn if the player respawns in Another World. By forcing a logout, the player will reappear at the dungeon lobby and can be revived to retrieve the dropped equipment.
        • Type /logout to log-out if this happens.
    • In order to return to Another World, you must repeat the special Barri Dungeon. Alternatively, if you have a Warp Imp, set the Save Location within Another World, then use Pet Teleport.
  3. Talk to Dougal located at the House.
  4. Kill 1 Zombie located at the Graveyard. Zombies are immune to Magic and Ranged attacks.
  5. Talk to Dougal. He will give you a Small Green Gem.
  6. The quest will auto-complete and you will receive 11000 EXP, 6240 Gold, 4 AP, and 5 Full Recovery Potion.

You will be running Albey Dungeon while using a Small Green Gem as a Dungeon Pass. If a player disconnects and drops another Small Green Gem, they will be entering another dungeon instead of entering the same dungeon the initial party was in.
If for some reason you fail the dungeon or lose the Small Green Gem, you may exit the Dungeon Lobby and hit the sign or lampost near the entrance until a Small Green Gem drops.
Every player must clear the Black Orb Dungeon with their own Black Orb. Being in a party will not count for your quest requirement unless you dropped your own Black Orb. When running the Black Orb Dungeon, be sure to stock on supplies, as the mobs here can be extremely difficult, even for a single person with moderate experience. Bring people who have experience in running the Black Orb Dungeon. Bringing a full party of three members is highly recommended, as well as someone outside the dungeon to use Advanced Phoenix Feathers, in the case of a party wipe.

Instruction

  1. Drop the Small Green Gem, given to you by Dougal from the previous quest, on Albey Dungeon's altar.
    • Albey Dungeon is located north of Dougal's position.
    • You may bring up to 7 other players.
    • Albey Green contains a small number of spawns from earlier dungeons, including the Light Gargoyle. It is only two floors, and few rooms. Boss consists of 4 Light Gargoyles and 3 Heavy Gargoyles.
    • Strike the Black Orb Pillar at the reward chamber five times to obtain the Black Orb. It will drop by your feet.
      • The Black Orb can only be picked up by the player who landed the fifth hit. It is tradeable.
      • However, whoever gets the fifth strike on the Black Orb Pillar will fulfill their Quest Requirement, if they have the quest.
        • You must re-run the dungeon and be the one to make the fifth strike on the Black Orb Pillar if you wish to fulfill your own quest requirement.
        • Warning: If a Pet accomplishes this, no one can obtain the Black Orb, and therefore the dungeon must be re-run.
  2. Drop the Black Orb on Albey Dungeon's altar.
    • You may bring two other players to assist you.
    • This dungeon consists of many mixed monsters from earlier dungeons, including Light Gargoyles and Werewolves. The dungeon consists of many rooms, and is two floors long.
    • Defeat the boss (six Ghost Armors). A cutscene will occur, and all members will be removed from the dungeon. You will obtain the Glas Ghaibhleann's Rebirth Keyword.
      • If any player becomes Knocked Unconscious, drops their equipment, and gets revived, they must pick up their equipment immediately. Failure to retrieve them by the time the boss room is cleared, the item(s) will not be transported to the Lost and Found. Keep this in mind, as it applies in the future.
      • After clearing the Black Orb, all dungeons in Albey will become darker, and there will be endless rain in Another World until the player finishes the final dungeon.
    • If all party members become Knocked Unconscious, there is no choice but to either obtain another Black Orb or have another player outside the dungeon use an Advanced Phoenix Feather on one party member.
      • Please note that the player with the Advanced Phoenix Feather must be in the same channel as your party.
    • If the party leader disconnects, the other members can continue. However, upon opening the boss room, they will be removed from the dungeon and receive a failure cinematic.
  3. Talk to Dougal.
  4. Talk to Dougal again to exchange the Pendant of the Goddess for a Pendant of the Goddess (Bind) and a Red Wing of the Goddess that transports the party to Albey Dungeon.
    • You do not need to use the Red Wing, and it can be traded to other players if you do not use it. The Red Wing is simply an alternative to the intended method of reaching Tir Chonaill (Another World).
  5. Manually complete the quest to receive 61100 EXP, 12500 Gold, and 4 AP.

Information

All players on this quest will finish it simultaneously.
Due to the length of the dungeon, you may want to stock up on items, such as Potions, Bandages, and Phoenix Feathers. You may also want to find someone who is experienced in running this dungeon. Every floor in this dungeon has a miniboss you must defeat in order to proceed. The last room before the boss will contain a pass that will allow you to return to the last floor without the need of running the entire dungeon again. Should you run low on supplies by the time you get to the boss, it is highly advised you change channels to escape the dungeon and restock. Upon using the pass, you can return to the room before the boss and may receive another pass if necessary.

Instruction

  1. Drop the Pendant of the Goddess (Bind) on Albey Dungeon's Altar.
    • This is the final dungeon. Please prepare yourself accordingly before entering.
    • Two other players may join and assist you.
    • Aiding Human players are unable to transform into Paladin nor Dark Knight while Giant and Elf players are able to become into Beast and Falcon, respectively. Awakening of Light transformation works for all races.
    • The dungeon consists of many spawns from previous dungeons, and is five floors long with many rooms. Each floor has a miniboss at the final room.
    • After clearing the dungeon up to the 5th floor boss room, you will find a Goddess Pass in a treasure chest, which will allow you return to the boss room if you wish to finish the dungeon later. If you use the pass, you will find a treasure chest with a replacement pass upon entering. This allows the player to attempt the Dark Lord/Glas Ghaibhleann fight as many times as necessary without running the previous floors again.
      • Note: If you lose the Goddess Pass for any reason, you will have to do the entire dungeon again from the beginning.
        • After completing Generation 1, the pass will become unusable.
    • After defeating the Dark Lord, a cutscene will play and the final battle with Glas Ghaibhleann will begin.
      • In addition to possessing Smash, Defense, Counterattack, and Windmill, Glas Ghaibhleann can shoot a laser.
      • Glas Ghaibhleann is immune to knockdown, but not knockback.
      • Glas Ghaibhleann summons Light Gargoyles when attacked.
        • Summoned Gargoyles will multi-aggro, and have a massive detection range.
        • The Gargoyles drop either Firewood or a Seal Scroll upon defeat. Burning a Seal Scroll in a Campfire will increase the player's injury rate to 100% and greatly reduces all damage received for 60 seconds. Before attacking Glas Ghaibhleann, it is recommended to collect a number of the scrolls beforehand and distribute them to the party.
          • You can not take Seal Scrolls outside of the dungeon.
          • An easy way to make Glas Ghaibhleann summon Gargoyles is by having a pet attack Glas and then having it stay still (use the command "Stay!" or have your pet load Counterattack.)
      • Since Glas Ghaibhleann's HP has an abnormal HP Recovery Rate, players must inflict Wounds to keep HP from regenerating through Archery or using Seal Scrolls to increase Injury Rate.
        • Glas Ghaibhleann can be dispatch in numerous ways without the need of Seal Scrolls, but can be difficult to handle.
        • Since Archers have a high Injury rates, it is possible to have one slowly break down Glas' HP with Magnum Shots and/or Critical Hits, reducing the required amount of Seal Scrolls necessary to completely finish off Glas. This is also possible with Gunslingers since they have Injury rates and can shoot faster with Way of the Gun. However, both methods may require pushing Glas back with Firebolt.
  2. After the defeat of Glas Ghaibhleann, Generation 1 will be complete. The Knight of Light Keyword, the title 'who Saved the Goddess' and the Enchant Goddess' are also rewarded.
    • All party members will return to Tir Chonaill after the credit roll. If a member does not wish to leave Another World, he/she must forcefully quit the game during the ending cutscene.
      • To forcefully quit the game, access the computer's Windows Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift/Alt + Delete). Go into the "Processes" tab, click "Client.exe" and finally, click the End Process.
  3. Manually complete the quest. 106,600 EXP, 12,500 Gold, and 6 AP will be rewarded.
