Is the artifact quality really random? Out of the Cor artifacts I've farmed, I've only gotten 3 or 4 stars (3 I'm guessing is base and 4 is from bonus); I've never gotten anything lower, unlike Voight's random 1 ~ 4 stars.

Has anyone actually gotten a five star relic using this skill? I keep getting three or four stars using Cor artifacts, at all ranks up until rank 1.

I got it and mastered the skill. It is.. VERY.. VERY.. RARE! That's all I can say. I was able to get all my 5-star ones at the very end of my training, when I had already completed every other requirement. That bad.

Where did you acquire those relics before you 5 stared them?

I've found 5 star relics in the La Terra Highlands as well. You just need to have patience.

What is the success rate in that image referring to? Gathering? Appraisal? Restoration?

Most likely Restoration, as Appraisal has a 100% success rate. A question of mine that relates - Is there a way to increase success rate? I'm experimenting with Harvest Song right now, not quite sure yet.

I'm curious to know if Production Mastery affects the success too but I'm really doubtful of that since engineering/magic craft aren't.

On that note, can anyone confirm whether harvest song increases restoration success?

I don't see any benefits from production mastery (would take 32% up to almost 50% and that's not happening), and harvest song is too small of a boost to be noticeable. I can say for sure that it would not hurt your chances.

As I recall, there are also messages in game that suggest artifact quality affect success with the skill, and as it is, rank 1 does have a relatively high base success rate.

I heard it's 100%? Should that be mentioned somewhere?
