Can anyone figure out how to get the chat to work? I sometimes can see it but other times I can't, and yes I have it turned on in my options.--Saix7 07:03, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

You're talking on it right now, what's wrong? --κєνıи тαıĸ«) 07:25, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
It works for ch6, ch7, and hch but it does not work for any other ch.--Saix7 07:48, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Abuse of Chat?

Ok, so it's supposed to work on all channels of the server? Anyone see this as an easy way for mabinogians to abuse it? Instead of using the world horn, they'll just use this or something? or can the chat only be seen when you have clicked the begginer tab? Either way, I have a bad feeling about it since older players can use it. --Light328 11:58, 8 April 2010 (EST)

yes you have a point. This will probably be HORRIBLY ABUSED. For bots, seeing beginners as the clueless people, they are going to be able to trick them into trying to buy gold *and for pros, its really going to piss us off as usual*. Pros or marketeers will use this chat to sell products *I'd probably do it too ^^; . So yeah this might turn out to be a not so beginner chat, more likely a perfect scam for those bastards selling gold to rip off new players and make a quick buck. Though I would really say though, if it was used for market purposes, we could really use an upgraded player selling system. (Btw, blacklist seems to fail for me, I try adding someone/something o.O to the blacklist in the options menu and the list gets erased later. The newer blacklist function hasn't failed me yet :D )--Marthian 00:50, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
A friend has told me the bots have already tried using the beginner chat, but after about three seconds, they were no longer able to spam. As for selling merchandise, I expect to see a few people doing so, but hopefully we don't get 20 some people spamming at a time. Also, in the options menu, you can uncheck 'display from default channel', and you will no longer see the beginner chat while on the all chat tab (which is how I currently have it set; if I want to use beginner chat, I simply switch to beginner chat). --Rusty 19:19, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
You sure after three seconds? They were STILL spamming a minute from when they started. I had to individually block them one by one just so I could see their names. And also I stand corrected, bots DO abuse the beginner chat--Marthian 02:19, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, it really is a shame that the begginer chat is being abused now. At first I enjoyed being on it when I was bored to help out some newbies, then I shut it off. Few weeks later I decided to help out newbies again, and I turn on the chat to see countless amounts of bots just spamming the chat. Made me feel bad for newbies that they have to see this- especially if you're new to this game and don't know how to shut off the option, it may just make newbies hate the game seeing spam spam spam spam on the chat :x --Light328 17:15, 10 May 2010 (EST)
