Giant Windmill

Someone edited the wiki saying that the larger range of Giants' WM has not been implemented in-game, yet, however I feel like it has been. Back when Pioneers of Iria was released, their WM range was pitiful at Rank F. However, a few maintenances later, I could suddenly hit with WM those targets I couldn't hit before. Is this my imagination or is the larger range implemented in-game?

Do any of you Giant users see the difference between Human WM and Giant WM at Ranks F, 5 and 1? --Phunkie 16:17, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure exactly what's up with Giants' WM distance but something is definitely wrong with it. Sometimes it seems like it's the same as a human and sometimes it seems like it's smaller. In any case, it's definitely messed up in relation to their hitbox... I can get hit from outside of r5 WM range on my Giant sometimes. --Inemnitable 12:32, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Does it ever seem like it's bigger? And you getting hit from so far-- doesn't that have to do with the Giants' hitbox? I kinda feel like the range is longer. I would have to do some testing to verify, however. --Phunkie 09:02, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Giants And Mounts

Can someone update the information on mounts to account for mimics. A giant can ride in an antique mimic belonging to a human.

This Whole Page Annoys me

This does not sound like it is from a neutral perspective. Infact, this whole page sounds filled with anti-giant thoughts and even some of the sentences and reasons is making it more incline for people to not choose giants. I don't care if you want to state a fact, but if you are going to, please make it into a neutral tone. I suggest this whole page be redone in that tone... --Miyuna 15:07, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Agreed. But I personally don't have a giant (I accidentally deleted my giant assistant card, I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULDN'T GET A REFUND. DX), so I can't help with the factual things. Though I am working desperately to try and make it seem more neutral, but I don't have the facts. ;-;...--αмуταιқ♪ 15:10, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
I appreciate the clean up, it looks better now. Gotta show some love for them big boys and girls, eh? --Miyuna 15:34, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Giant Revamp

Once the giants are revamped, should we all try to take new screenshots for the wiki or is it unneeded. In the files the actual models for the clothing change too so I think that we may need to re-take pictures on the items...--Claypot19 13:35, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Height

I have noticed my Giant's height is significantly less than other Giants of the same age, but I have never observed this on an elf or human, no equipment influences were present when comparing.

1)are you comparing a female giant to a male giant? Female giants are shorter in general. 2)Are you SURE they're the same age? 3)Screenies would be nice. 4)Don't forget to sign your posts.--(not-so)Anonymous 21:12, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

Giant Mounting

  1. Giants cannot ride normal two-seater mounts due to their size.
    • Needs to be more specific, i.e. mounts summoned by human/elf players and Wild Ostrich (NPC) and Mustang (NPC). Also needs to mention somewhere that they can't get "the Friend of Horse and Ostrich" title because of that inability.
  2. Mimics, Flying Carpet Pets, and a Partner's Noble Carriage are exceptions to this rule; two Giants may ride them at once.
  3. Antique Mimics can hold three Giants at once.
    • Minor detail that isn't necessary. Mentioning "Flying Food Truck can hold four Giants at once"... well, you get the picture.

I have changed some of that, but I am not clear on what happens when a giant tries to mount any human/elf summoned mount other than the noted exceptions, so I left it as a commented line.

problem 8)...?

anyways, it was fixed a loooong time ago so that giants can mount them now.

O-o...

"Mimic Pets, Flying Carpet Pets" should be changed to "Antique Mimic, Wooden Mimic, Flying Carpet, Royal Flying Carpet"

Infodude575 (talk)13:30, 28 May 2014

Little Hopper works like the Carpet pets. So add that into the okay list. o/

One thing I've noticed when wielding a lance with my giant is that whenever I do a regular combo with it I walk afterwards even though I've been told giants don't have to. Is this because of an in-game error of is the info on these pages false?

Onionsong16:40, 1 August 2011

I don't know where people are getting that from but I can't find any official info saying they aren't forced to walk. I've herd that they're forced to walk for a shorter time, but I haven't tested it yet.

Giant instruments

As of g13 giants can equip flutes and chalumeaus I don't know if they can equip whistles or Roncadora's though and since I have neither it would be great if someone could test at least the roncadora.

EDIT: They can equip whistles to, but I still don't have a roncodora.
