why exactly is he a god?
He's a minor god because of the fact that he's "employed" by the Gods to be the gatekeeper of Avon. He plays a role in the security of the prison, so he's acting in some form of authority in that whole divine realm placey thing. At any rate, he's higher up than the Milletians and stuff, but lower than a God. So whatever.
Then again, because Gods are exiled to Avon, and he's the guardian of Avon, doesn't that make HIM above the Gods? ...
