CP

Is this skill base off a player's CP or is success rate determine off monster's CP (like Wild Animal Taming)? I.E. If a Player's CP is 1,200 and he is taunting a 1,170 monster with rank F taunt, it will mostly generate a success compared to a person with 400 cp, same rank F taunt on the same 1,170 cp monster. Or is it based off monster's CP, whereas a monster with 1,170 cp is still hard to taunt even though a player's cp is 1,200? --Miyuna 18:30, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Monster CP according to JWiki. They labeled it "Effective CP" and has the minimum CP amounts of monsters that can be taunted for ranks F for 1000 CP, Rank E for 1100 CP, and Rank D for 1300 CP. Probably the skills.xml file has this information.--BIassreiter 23:55, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Basil Pot

What's the best way to get it? I have him at friendly vibes but do I just keep opening shop over and over again until I see the tab or do I come back every in-game day? or every 24 hours? Health 05:49, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Seems like "friendly vibes" just means you're halfway to the basil pot. I dropped 50k on those damn underwear sets. You'll probably be better off buying 3 likeability potions from other players.Kong 05:01, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Who wrote on the wiki to not talk to Wanst between gifts? That doesn't make any sense at all. Why would I not talk to Wanst when it would increase his likability towards me? That's how it works with every other NPC.--Zirren 04:45, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Return to Physis update.

Updated the stats, but there's two things I'm not sure on.

1 - Variable 3 is "Lure Enhancement" on one text line and "Enhanced Taunt" on another, the value is 20,000 at all ranks. Since it doesn't vary by rank it might just be like, a CP limit override as part of the game update or something?

2 - There's three new variables that likely correspond with the speed increase and damage output reduction on taunted targets, but I don't know which values are which.

Taunt is broken

Or my giant must be broken.

The range is 3M, and when i taunt, 2-3 enemies that's like 14 meters away may aggro me... And it's always from a specific direction (north for instance). It's not based on the area around you anymore, as it randomly aggros a fixed number of monsters that has no relation in distance to you.

A way to gauge the range, is about the giant charge range at rank 9?

Sometimes they get aggroed (!!) but ignores me, until i aggro them a second time. There's also a 7 second delay between use.

The smoke effect on them also doesn't occur.

Dra6o0n (talk)22:43, 5 January 2014

Yeah I noticed that too as I started to update the taunt video (which should be up soon). It's broken or something..I'm not a giant expert.

ベリサ・マイルスター (talk)10:04, 17 January 2014

Did you guys enable Mini Effects? That might be why the smoke isn't appearing.

Infodude575 (talk)15:40, 25 January 2014

is enabled and clearly do not see anything.

ベリサ・マイルスター (talk)17:16, 25 January 2014

Turn it off. Having it on is what makes that stuff invisible.

Infodude575 (talk)17:56, 25 January 2014

meant to say disabled...zzz but yeah It's not doing anything.

Taunt rank 2

My giant has rank 2 taunt and I was able to taunt a rundal hardmode Doberman Pug that has 3740 Combat power, so that's the slightest clue I have ;o

Max Enemy CP

Would it be possible for anyone to fill in the information for Ranks 5 and higher? Whether you can get the information from the files or from the JWiki like before, it would be appreciated.

Rusty22:22, 14 February 2011

It will be in one of the xmls in /data/db/skill/ ~小太郎 TALKCONTRIBS 2011:02:15:07:14 (Tuesday)

Well, I have not the slightest clue where to get or read these files (I cannot locate them in my computer, though perhaps they are in some obscure folder elsewhere?), so again, if someone could get the information, it would be much appreciated.
