The tab is called "Hidden", which conflicts with the Category:Hidden Talent Skills.

Infodude575 (talk)19:39, 24 April 2013

Could call one of them "Undisclosed Skills" or something like that.

Serendove (talk)19:46, 24 April 2013

Could rename the old category to "Hidden Actions" since all the fused bolt skills have only one rank and the new sharp mind can't be ranked.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)21:45, 24 April 2013

Except Magic Fusion is technically a skill.

Infodude575 (talk)10:16, 25 April 2013

Magic Fusion is technically 3 skills.

If you want to be even more technical, Magic Fusion isn't even a skill. It's just the server determining wether or not to give you a special charge of another skill depending on your proximity from another character casting a skill within the time limit.

The skill part would be the bolts, which exist only to hold charges and and function properly.

Fusion Bolt Is a normal(rankable) skill that enables you activate the original Magic Fusion skills without a partner. The skill part of regular magic fusion (the 2 person one in the other category) is 3 hidden skills that have only one rank. Skills with only one rank (especially the automatic ones like Normal Attack and the old versions of the gathering skills) have been officially called Actions ever since the Action Window was implemented.

Technically, the three fused bolts (IceFire, IceLightning & FireLightning) are single rank skills (AKA Actions) that are hidden, and "Magic Fusion" is just a feature of the game system and not a skill or action.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)17:13, 25 April 2013

Yes, I know what Fusion Bolt and Magic Fusion are.

And since when were 'one rank skills' officially called Actions? The official actions are those in the Action Window.

Normal Attack technically shouldn't even be an action, that was just implemented for convenience. It still utilizes Combat Mastery and Ranged Attack.

That explanation was a reply to Infodude's post about fusion being a skill.

Weren't the old gathering skills actions?

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)18:55, 25 April 2013

They were skills, just like the current ones.

All the Actions are technically Skills.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)20:10, 25 April 2013

They couldn't have been "skills". Otherwise you wouldn't have been able to get points in production mastery for doing something "without using a skill".

Doomsday31415 (talk)20:07, 25 April 2013

The server decides whether or not to give you exp, not your client.

Yes, but what the client displays is how we usually pick the terminology. Though that line could have just been more of Nexon's famous typos and inconsistent/imprecise/inaccurate wording.

How about "Invisible Skills"?

In reality, they should have named the tab "Hybrid"...

Doomsday31415 (talk)11:11, 25 April 2013

This is getting off topic, what is it exactly we need to decide? What to rename the categories?

Pyro - (Talk)23:18, 25 April 2013

Correct. As I said, Hybrid Skill's tab is called "Hidden" and a category for "Hidden Skills" already exists.

Infodude575 (talk)23:33, 25 April 2013

How is any of this off topic?

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)00:43, 26 April 2013

It went from "Where to put skills?" to "Magic Fusion is a hidden action while Fusion Bolt is an actual skill."

...all that aside, does anyone think my suggestion is okay? if so I am going to have a field day.

☽S☆A☆R☆I☆A☾ (talk)00:47, 26 April 2013

That's still part of the nomenclature discussion.

Your suggestion for the new name of the other category seems like it could be confusing (still has "hidden" and "skills", so it might look like it's related to these), but it's the best one we have so far; not everyone seems to agree with my observation that they resemble actions more than other skills, and all the other suggestions bring too much attention to data mining.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)01:14, 26 April 2013

...Technically, it's listed as a hidden skill that is actually not visible through normal means. I recall this because I actually got the name of the Icon for applying poison as "Poison Lathering" through this method...

☽S☆A☆R☆I☆A☾ (talk)01:22, 26 April 2013

Current Hybrid Skills will be redirected to Hidden Skills. Hidden skills (Current) should be redirected to Hidden Passive/Active skills. That's my opinion.

☽S☆A☆R☆I☆A☾ (talk)23:22, 25 April 2013

...I went ahead and moved it to Category:Hidden Talent Skills. As for current hidden skills...those go where...?

☽S☆A☆R☆I☆A☾ (talk)00:57, 26 April 2013

Which is what we're trying to decide.

Infodude575 (talk)01:09, 26 April 2013

I guess Hidden Passive Skills is a no go then? I mean I thought it was pretty good.

☽S☆A☆R☆I☆A☾ (talk)01:10, 26 April 2013

I'm good with Hidden Talent Skills and Hidden Passive Skills.

Pyro - (Talk)04:11, 26 April 2013

That sounds like it'll blow up in our face when one of the Hidden Talent Skills IS passive.

Doomsday31415 (talk)07:06, 26 April 2013

^that.

Also, the name of the tab is "Hidden", not "Hidden Talent". So far we've been naming the categories after their skill tabs.

However, if we're leaving the new one as "Hidden Talent", we don't need to rename the old one.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)10:58, 26 April 2013

Called it Hidden Talent Skills because the talent is hidden until requirements are met, so basically it's a hidden skill...if that makes any sense...
