"Oh no, here comes picky Snowie again!"

Anyway, from my understanding when it comes to these two terms, length is the longer dimension of the two, is it not? Because it seems to be the other way around for pretty much all Homestead items (and probably elsewhere as well). With English not being my first language and Google only giving me vague answers except this one line from Wikipedia: "In geometric measurements, length is the most extended dimension of an object."

I thought I'd ask first what others have to say on the matter before I go around changing all of them.

What do you think?

"Breadth" is another word for "width", which implies side-to-side... but we have "length", so "length" would be front to back? Using the word "depth" instead implies a third dimension when we're dealing with just two though.

Width x Length?

Well I'll just leave it as is for now since I'm still unsure what to do with it, even though "width" could work, heh.

Mainly because when I think "Length" is related to how long something is...
"How long is that Fence?"
"1 square"
"Say whaaa??"

Calling the longer side length sounds reasonable to me. I wouldn't want to switch the order of the columns though, I'm so used to Length being first in the "Length x Width" collocation.
