This article refers to the Falcon Transformation.
For the suffix enchant Falcon, see the Rank 8 enchant list.
For the pet, go to Falcon (Pet)
After completion of a quest, Elf characters have the ability to transform into a Falcon. It is much like the human's Paladin, Dark Knight, and giant's Savage Beast transformation skills.

The three quests to choose from are:
Giant mark and wild animals
How to Get Quest |
Choose Research Field Boss when talking to Alexina about the Book of the Irinids |
---|---|
Briefing | The wild animals in Iria are affected by the strange power that flows from the giant marks. Perhaps some of the animals' violent and aggressive behavior can be linked with that. Please research the field bosses, which are most influenced by the marks. -Alexina |

Additional Information |
Sketch Rano field bosses in any order. You can not buy them from other players. They must be sketched by yourself for it to work. You can drop the sketches if you wish, as they are not required to complete the quest. Field bosses spawn randomly; therefore, it is advised to have a sketch party and station each member in a channel. Additionally, choosing this method requires time and patience. The Gold Kiwi is statistically known to spawn every 6 Erinn days, showing that the sketches will not be easy to obtain. The most time-efficient method to gather the sketches is to gather six other people and have each person watch for spawn notices. A watcher must stay in Rano and not be in a dungeon to get a spawn message. The amount of monsters in the area of the spawn will increase several Erinn days before the spawn of a boss. On the Mabinogi Stategy Guide for Falcon, there's a table showing the appearances in 24 real hours. |

Enter and finish Maiz Prairie Dungeon using the Shining Stone Gargoyle pass. You do not have to be the leader of this party, and it counts for anyone in the party. It has 1 floor. Monsters include Stone Zombies, Stone Mimics, and King and Queen Slates. To create the Shining Stone Gargoyle Statue, you must first run Maiz Normal and obtain the items, Stone Gargoyle Boot, Stone Gargoyle Hand, and Stone Gargoyle Pauldron, from the bosses. This will take time. Use these parts on the altar separately like a pass to enter a harder version of Maiz. There are 3 bosses at the end of each stone dungeon. The boss of Stone Pauldron may drop the Shining Stone Pauldron, the boss of Stone Glove may drop the Shining Stone Glove, and the boss of Stone Boot may drop the Shining Stone Boot. Combine the three parts using a level 16 exploration quest from the quest board. DO NOT COMPLETE THIS QUEST! If you complete the quest the statue will disappear! (It is suggested that after you receive the quest that you hold on to the book but give up the quest, that way you won't accidentally complete it). The item you get from the book from the exploration quest is a statue, you need to give to the altar. To get the statue read the book and select the 'Receive Reward' option. The statue is not able to be dropped, however the shining parts, and shining statue may be stored in pets and traded. |

Briefing | There has been a new discovery regarding the Irinid's writings |
Objectives |

Additional Information |
Unlike mainstream quest books, the Book of the Irinids that Alexina gives you cannot be opened and read (yet). If you talk to any other NPC in Vales, they alert the guards. The Giant guards at Vales will attack and kill you if they see you. Hide is the best option if you are seen, although Stomp will not knock you out of Play Dead. Since Elves are faster than Giants, it is also possible to easily run out of Vales, just be careful to walk when a Giant Guard raises his fist in preparation of Stomp Horses run faster than the guards and may be useful to escape on. If you have a Flying pet, you can just fly over to Taunes to speak with him. Continent Move may be useful to escape after you've spoken with Taunes. |

Alexina will give you the Book of the Irinids, a collection book within which you must put ancient medals found in Connous and Rano via Exploration.
*The medal obtained via chest is random and not fixed based on the land mark, any medal can drop from any chest. It is still best to visit multiple landmarks, as one individual landmark does not always possess all landmark medals. *You can use the medal that Yoff gave you at the start of the quest in the medal book. *You can only find medals with Rano landmarks on them in Rano. *You can only find medals with Connous landmarks on them in Connous. *You also should visit different landmarks from time to time because you won't find When you have placed all the medals in the book, 'read' the book, and press Complete.

Details
- The transformation time will vary with age and number of rebirths. It lasts approximately 3 hours of in-game time to begin with, and can be only used once per "day". The transformation counter resets every game day at 6:00 AM.
- Being older decreases the length of your transformation. More rebirths increase the length.
- Status boosts are added on top of the player's base stats. Titles equipped prior to transformation will not take effect while transformed.
- It is not possible to gain any of the accomplishment titles that involve stats while transformed (e.g. 200+ Str, 200+ Dex)
- The player can cancel the transformation at any time by using the Fury of Connous skill.
- Transforming will restore HP, Mana, and Stamina/Hunger.
- Your current value for each is added to whatever is added to the max, causing 100/200 to become 400/500 (+300). When de-transforming, you retain your ratio instead (400/500 becomes 160/200 for a total gain of 60 before and after using the skill).
- Transformation will be canceled upon death; the player will have to wait until the timer resets to use the skill again.
- It is possible to transform while a skill is active, but not when it is loading. It may or may not apply to certain Action skills.
- If you happen to be transformed into a Falcon when you rank Fury of Connous through a form change threshold (e.g., Rank 6 to Rank 5), your form will actually change while you are transformed.
- It is possible to keep the Falcon Title by divorcing in the midst of the transformation.
Training
For ranking Falcon skills, you must use points gained from leveling. Each level gives the player 10 points, which can either be kept in Fury of Connous for advancement, or distributed to any of the other skills. At rank F, each skills requires 100 points (10 levels) to rank. At rank E, they require 110, and so on.
- Note: When distributing points to skills, they are taken away from Fury of Connous, and cannot be taken back from the skill they are sent to.
