Lance Charge.png
Lance Charge makes the wielder dash fiercely towards the enemy with their lance extended. While charging towards the target, all the enemies in between are knocked back. Although it cannot be used on nearby enemies, it is very effective for both damage and positioning.

Details

  • Only usable when the player is equipped with a Lance.
  • Similar in function to Charge; rushing at the opponent at great speed to attack.
  • Unlike normal Charge, Lance Charge hits targets along the charge path and around its target.
  • Unlike normal Charge, this skill uses the player's full damage.
    • This skill effects every enemy in the player's path as well as the chosen target.
      • The distance between you and the enemies in your path affects the damage they take.
        • This is calculated by Base Damage*[1+(Distance/1000)].
        • Due to minimum distance restrictions, the chosen target will always take at least 1.25 times the base damage of the skill, and up to 1.8~2 times the base damage depending on distance and rank.
  • Unlike normal Charge, Lance Charge ignores Protection when calculating Critical Hit chance.
  • Lance Charge has longer stun time (3.0 seconds) than normal Charge (2.6 seconds).
  • Lance Charge has lesser maximum distance (800 and 1000 for Rank Novice and Rank 1, respectively) than normal Charge (1000 and 2000).
  • Like normal Charge, the player will not be stopped by Ranged Attacks while using this skill. It also reduces the damage of Ranged Attacks.
    • Damage reduction is dependent on the player's normal Charge rank.
    • Blocking projectiles with this skill will count toward normal Charge's training requirements.
    • Like normal Charge, any other attack will interrupt Lance Charge.
  • Like normal Charge, all races run at the same speed when using Lance Charge.
  • Like normal Charge, any movement speed boosts will cause the player to move much faster than normal during Lance Charge due to the 50% movement speed bonus.
  • Like normal Charge, Defense, Counterattack and Lance Counter normally work against Lance Charge.
    • However, enemies in the player's path will be unable to block Lance Charge with normal Counterattack and Lance Counter.
    • Enemies in the path may defend Lance Charge, reducing its damage and negating knockback, however the player will not be interrupted.
  • Like normal Charge, Heavy Stander, if activated, will negate the knockback and stun effects of Lance Charge, giving the target a chance to retaliate.
  • All enemies impacted by this skill will be unable to take any action for a short period.
    • Enemies along the path are stunned for half as long as the main target.
  • Like normal Charge, Windmill is unable to stop Lance Charge.
  • Players can use Play Dead right before the Charge impact to stop the skill altogether.
  • Appears to knock the enemy down like Smash on a successful hit, but like regular Charge, it does not fill the Knockdown Gauge, and thus not counted as a true knockdown. For instance, the player may not use Assault Slash as a follow-up attack.
  • This skill may not be loaded while the player is being pushed back.
  • This skill has a 10 second cooldown.
    • Normal Charge shares this cooldown.
      • As a result, the player may not alternate between Lance Charge and normal Charge.
  • Lance Charge may be used while mounted on certain non-combat mounts.
    • So far, this only includes Shire, Halflinger, Thoroughbred, Eagle Owl, Snowy Owl, Crystal Deer, Yellow Sprite, Lime Sprite, Rainbow Sprite, Nimbus, and Pegasus.
    • This increases maximum range and width of the linear AoE made towards the target.
    • While mounted, an additional multiplier is also added to the damage formula. Damage while mounted is calculated as 1.2*[Base Damage*(1+[Distance/1000])].
