Basic Information
 +
*To recover an item's missing durability, either have the item repaired by a corresponding NPC or use a repair kit that corresponds to the item. The Repair Guidebook has information on repairing.
 +
**When talking to the NPC, select Repair Item and select the item to repair. The player can then choose to have the NPC either attempt a one-point repair or attempt a Perfect Repair, which are consecutive one-point repairs until the item is at full durability.
 +
*Repair success rates vary among NPCs and is shown in their repair window.
 +
**Items that have been blessed have an increased repair success rate. See the Blessed Item Repair Rate Chart for more information.
 +
***If a failure occurs in the middle of a perfect repair, the rest of the repair will be done at the non-blessed success rate.
 +
**Weather and Stats have no effect on success rates.
 +
*A failed repair will result in the item's maximum durability permanently decreasing by 1.
 +
**Blessing will also be lost if applicable.
 +
**Repair Protection Potions can be applied to the item to prevent the loss of 1 durability point due to a failed repair. The potion's effects are consumed when a failure occurs.
 +
*Some items, such as Signs, cannot be repaired.
 +
*Spirit Weapons have a different repair method.

*As you wear an item that can be equipped, usually its durability will be used up.  The only way to recover durability is to have the item repaired by the proper NPC. It costs money to repair.
+
Repair Costs
*You can either choose to repair an item for all of its lost points, or for 1 point at a time.
+
*Repair costs are based on the item itself, the NPC's success rate, and any cost-modifying enchants on the item being repaired.
*NPCs can fail to repair an item; their success rate is fixed and will be revealed to you when selecting the item to be repaired.
+
**Certain Tool Upgrades and their Reforge equivalents can also increase repair cost.
**When a repair fails, the item's max durability decreases by 1.  There is currently no way to recover maximum durability except with certain item upgrades.
+
**The higher the success rate, the more it costs to repair.
**To increase your odds of a successful repair, it is recommended that you bless your item by using a Holy Water of Lymilark on it. Although the actual success % increase is unknown, it is generally agreed that it increases the success rate significantly enough to make it worthwhile.
+
**Failed repairs will not be charged.
***The blessing will be removed if a repair fails.
+
*The cost is displayed above the list of items.
***Therefore it is recommended to repair point by point, so that if it fails, you can re-bless the item.
+
*Depending on the item, the repair costs Gold or Ducats.
**Weather has no effect on success rates.
+
**Brionac requires 4 AP to repair 1 point of durability.
**If you're really attached to a particular item or items that can be repaired, such as your armor or weapons, it is generally recommended to choose an NPC with a higher repair success rate so that your item will last longer. However, it will increase the repair costs.

**On the bright side, if the NPC fails, you won't be charged for the repair.

*Note that some items, like Signs and many event items, cannot be repaired.  Also, Spirit Weapons (excluding Eiry, the beginner weapon) have an entirely different repair method.

*Also, see the Repair Guidebook, Nexon's in-game book on repairing.

Types of Repair
 +
Most NPCs will repair one or multiple specific types of items, usually related to their occupation. Below are lists of NPCs sorted by the types of repair.

*Repair costs are based on the the value an NPC would sell the item for.
+
The following applies to the repairable items lists below: If the majority of a type of item uses a certain type of repair then that group is considered to use that type of repair. Any items in that group which use another type of repair are listed as exceptions and items that cannot be repaired at all are ignored.
**The NPC selling price can be checked by viewing the item in a trade window.

**All items, even ones that aren't sold by an NPC, have an NPC price.

**All items of the same kind will have the same repair costs, regardless of whether it was monster dropped or bought under the Wednesday daily effect and/or Alliance e discounts.

***However, items with enchants that modify repair costs will violate this rule.

*Repair costs increase at the NPCs who have a higher success rate; you'll have to find your own balance between success rate and repair cost.

Repair Tips
+
Tailor Repairs
*Applying Holy Water of Lymilark to an item increases its chance of successfully repairing by halving the failure rate.
+
{| style="text-align: center; font-size: 12px;"
*One point repairs allow for you to reapply Holy Water of Lymilark to bless an item in the case of a "failure"
+
|-
*Avoid repairing at Ferghus and Elen. Edern will repair with a much higher success rate but at a costly expense depending on the weapon/armor. Nerys, Osla, and Nicca are better than Ferghus but are not as good as Edern. Repair costs are also at a moderate level. The same applies for other NPC's.

No NPC will repair all items available in the game. Only one to a few NPCs will repair any one type of item and these NPCs are grouped together by the items they are prepared to repair. Note that, although a specific item can be repaired by more than one NPC however their success rate may differ. The type of repair done by an NPC is usually related to their occupation, however, this is not always true.

Effie is the only NPCs that does two types of repairs, Tailor Repairs and Miscellaneous Repairs, where she has a 98% success rate for both.

Basic Information

  • To recover an item's missing durability, either have the item repaired by a corresponding NPC or use a repair kit that corresponds to the item. The Repair Guidebook has information on repairing.
    • When talking to the NPC, select Repair Item and select the item to repair. The player can then choose to have the NPC either attempt a one-point repair or attempt a Perfect Repair, which are consecutive one-point repairs until the item is at full durability.
  • Repair success rates vary among NPCs and is shown in their repair window.
    • Items that have been blessed have an increased repair success rate. See the Blessed Item Repair Rate Chart for more information.
      • If a failure occurs in the middle of a perfect repair, the rest of the repair will be done at the non-blessed success rate.
    • Weather and Stats have no effect on success rates.
  • A failed repair will result in the item's maximum durability permanently decreasing by 1.
    • Blessing will also be lost if applicable.
    • Repair Protection Potions can be applied to the item to prevent the loss of 1 durability point due to a failed repair. The potion's effects are consumed when a failure occurs.
  • Some items, such as Signs, cannot be repaired.
  • Spirit Weapons have a different repair method.

Repair Costs

  • Repair costs are based on the item itself, the NPC's success rate, and any cost-modifying enchants on the item being repaired.
    • Certain Tool Upgrades and their Reforge equivalents can also increase repair cost.
    • The higher the success rate, the more it costs to repair.
    • Failed repairs will not be charged.
  • The cost is displayed above the list of items.
  • Depending on the item, the repair costs Gold or Ducats.
    • Brionac requires 4 AP to repair 1 point of durability.

Types of Repair

Most NPCs will repair one or multiple specific types of items, usually related to their occupation. Below are lists of NPCs sorted by the types of repair.

The following applies to the repairable items lists below: If the majority of a type of item uses a certain type of repair then that group is considered to use that type of repair. Any items in that group which use another type of repair are listed as exceptions and items that cannot be repaired at all are ignored.
