can someone explain how when i equip a weapon with say, 30% crit, my ratio only rises by 20%? are my bare hands considered weapons with 10% base crit or something? Because equiping magic powder with 0% crit makes my ratio go DOWN by 10%. is something wrong here? {{Unsigned|Purity464}}

:You need at least 10 luck to have the same crit as your weapon.  If you have 0 luck, for example, it is -10% critical hit.  If you have a weapon with 30% crit and 0 luck it will be 20% critical.

:::::If that were true I couldn't have low rolled a critical smash at ~400 (46~149 @ dual 0~51 spike fluteds on a laghodessa r5 smash) damage in g7 and my r1 lb couldn't have criticaled ~180 damage.  Its just Damage * Critical_Modifier * Skill_modifier.  The order doesn't matter since its all multiplication.  The damage is whatever you would have hit. magic critical

does critical hit apply to magic? and how so

Uh...? It applies the same way to everything. The only difference for magic is that critical chance isn't boosted by weapon %, only stats and enchants.--Qaccy 15:28, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Missing 10%?

can someone explain how when i equip a weapon with say, 30% crit, my ratio only rises by 20%? are my bare hands considered weapons with 10% base crit or something? You need at least 10 luck to have the same crit as your weapon. If you have 0 luck, for example, it is -10% critical hit. If you have a weapon with 30% crit and 0 luck it will be 20% critical.

ie.

base damage = 100, smash = 200% damage, crit = +100% damage.
400 = final damage = base*smash*(crit+100%)

or is it

300 = final damage = (base*smash)+((crit+100%)*base)
