I get a "Logging in..." message and after a while it comes up as invalid ID/Password. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Whoa now I get a "No data received" Error on google chrome on some occasions. is nexon suffering technical issues?

Nexon is having a massive coffee break. You cant even log onto the main page ;D. No seriously this stinks :C.

Nexon has constantly had problems with many different things relating to problems with logging in, monsters disapearing w/o reason, pets getting stuck in the walls, flawed updates and tools that provide a better gameing experience if they weren't flawed, D/Cing, fail events (although there are some that are ok), over priceing recent pets and items that use nx, tickets ignored or not attended soon enough, and many other things I can't think of right now. Nexon seems not to care about what we think about them, because they know the majority of us won't stop playing or more will come in even if they don't completly satisfy their customers. The problem will never be solved unless everyone was to protest and stop buying from Nexon all over the board not just Mabinogi, which could also never happen because we are too addicted to MMORPGs ourselves to not embrace the paying system we use to get more enjoyment in the game even though we would have even more fun in the end if we were to make Nexon fix its sloppy managment with matinence, creativity, priceing, respect for customers, and software with few problems. I have been playing Mabinogi for over a year and I am unsatisfied with how Nexon is too lazy to make the changes they need to make to have any respect from their customers and have any good reputation...
I'm sorry, but this wiki is not the place to put this complaint. Its place is more likely on the forums, if anywhere.

Although the majority of problems stated above are true, you just seem like a person that doesn't understand Nexon very well, considering they have buisnesses in other countries.
Boycotting? Seriously? Is that everyone's answer to everything these days? Got a problem then just stop using it? -.-
Look, it's not that Nexon is incompetent. It's that it's a big business with red tape, regulations, a lot of technical crap, a fuckload of servers that run in more countries than most people can put on a map, and a budget to run everything by. It's not that they don't care: it's just that they can't possibly get everything everywhere as soon as it pops up, especially considering such a scale they're working on. Let's face it: games will have bugs, and servers are complicated. If you want to throw a tantrum and say "I don't want to play anymore cuz this is stupid!", go ahead. Be that guy. The rest of us will be dealing with it, working through the lag and disconnections, and getting on with our lives. The less time people spend whining, the more time we can go online and have fun the best we can.
In laymen's terms: shit happens. Pull up your big-girl panties and get over it.
Hi Everybody, My dad experienced the error that he can't log into games but can login on website. After 1 night of thinking, I found the way for playing:
At the start to log in mabinogi, they say: Enter User ID or something like that and your password. Enter your E-MAIL.
User ID: firstname.lastname@example.org Password: ******
If people got this bug or error, add a reply :)
You did not need to capitalize the entire thread title.
And the new portal accepting either an account username or e-mail address as authentication should have been hint enough.
I am experiencing this problem but even if I log in with my email, the game is still not allowing me to log in so I cannot play...
try using the login at the "upper" side of the web colored in white instead of pressing play and logging in.
if that doesn't work, try going to C drive - nexon - mabinogi - mabinogi.exe
It doesn't work. Any method used to login will result in wrong user/pass.
Double check that Nexon doesn't want you to change your password or verify your email, and that you have security questions set.
Nexon has this password safety campaign that asks you to change your password every three months. I didn't change my password and wasn't prevented from logging in, but I hadn't been hassled about it before the new portal went up so that is a possible trigger.
Also with the portal update came the ability to actually change your account's e-mail address; I took the opportunity to change mine to a more secure and recently-made account, and had to verify. Again, a possible trigger.
And finally, when you log in you'll be asked to set security questions. I did so when I saw the opportunity, so I'm not aware whether this could be the cause of the issue or not.
Basically I had just written a very condensed three-item checklist. :P
ok well, have you tryied to submit a ticket on nexon support?, when I tryied with my dad' account, the url was 1- in maintenance OR 2- bad adress or something like that.
But I don't know why you can't login. Mkc132, you have try to connect on Nexon.net if it will work?
if the website work, try change your password and retry to connect to the game. If nothing work, :\ well, see if you have mistaken something.
There is a maintenece again today. Anyone know how much longer it will last?
What do you mean there's a maintenance "again" today? There is always maintenance on Tuesday nights.
And as usual, it is estimated at 3 hours, though there is always a chance it will end up being extended.
To my knowledge, all (most?) of Nexon's games go down for a weekly [scheduled] maintenance on Tuesday at 10pm Pacific for 2-4 hours (unless it's a special patch or update, then it's more). It doesn't matter if any of them had a maintenance a few days before or not.
Whenever I try to log on the Nexon website, it says there is an error. Is anyone else experiencing this and/or know how to fix it?

it usually takes them about 10 minutes for them to either open up or announce another maintenance.
it took them hour to announce that they need another 3 hr before.
When I quit my guild my friend list disappeared! When I tried to add my friends again, it said that they were already on my friend list! Does anyone know how to fix this?
I once saw someone look like he was standing sideways while i was gathering potatoes in Tailtiann. Does anyone know how I could do that?
What do you mean by standing sideways? Do you mean like in the arrow shooting stances of bows?
I think he means standing upright while gathering. Just double click the gather. It's some weird glitch but it doesn't so anything.
For Sheep it makes you follow the sheep after the gather, but besides that, only the pose. =S
Well its a glitch it makes you gather 2 times and its a pose thing. Wierd right?
I looked a little more into this. If a sheep is stuck behind a prop making it unable to move, and you attempt this, it will automatically trigger the second sheer when this first is complete. Also, if you click anywhere else in between the two sheers, it will cause the second sheer to cancel. And this only works for some sources. For example, this glitch is not possible with, lets say, herbs. Since this glitch can be unfairly used to someone's advantage, I suggest we segregate this from the wiki's articles.
What I mean is that he was just sideways as if he was a shadow. He wasn't actually collecting/gathering anything.
It's possible that they were dead or playing dead. If not, it sounds like it was just lag or a glitch (similar to when a character appears to be halfway underground)?
I'm not surprised. :c Either way, even if we did know how to do it, sharing knowledge of hacks/mods is not allowed here.

really? o.o i have no problem with it... the main page is changed but there is a scroll next to general mabi news... try refreshing or switch browers.

Ok I found that even if there is no scroll I can still go up/down. It is still weird as there should be a visible scroll...
When I started the login server it updated my game to client version 80. But when I try to play an error message comes up. And it closes the program...
It said "client.exe has stopped working" but it always says that and usually afterward it works.But it did not work...
Reinstall mabinogi. That's what I did. Doesn't necessarily need to be the newest installer. Just re-patch.
This is just an idea that's been on my mind for a while...but what's everyone's opinion of maybe adding a rough "difficulty" rating to each dungeon/mission page? To me, just having a list of what spawns isn't a good indicator of how challenging it may be, particularly when soloing.
Obviously the true difficulty would differ depending on playstyle, but I was hoping a group of people could come together and collaborate on this to try and create an overall difficulty based on a self-sufficient skillset and appropriate level (for example, on a 1-5 scale with 5 being super hard I'd give Their Method 1 star across the board, whereas something like Ciar Advanced might get 3 stars).
I dunno, I think it'd be good for, if nothing else, just a rough indication of what to expect if someone's running a mission for the first time since right now, I feel the wiki's a bit lacking in that regard. :x

Hm...that's why I suggested the collaboration part though, so that way it's more of a general consensus instead. It'd still be an opinion, but yeah...I mean, for example, the wiki as-is does a bad job of describing some missions. Unless you run it yourself, you wouldn't know, for example, that most Shadow Missions spawn multiple waves of enemies per orb, or even what a wave might look like as the spawn patterns on most missions are tragically empty or very limited. Maybe, instead of the difficulty, we could all try to pitch in and describe missions in a bit more detail and/or be more diligent with filling in spawn patterns to make it more informative to first-timers?
I would like to know the answer to that question as well. I will note that from what I've seen its been done by one user, and I haven't seen a reason given for it on any of the pages I've checked. I cant find a reason for it given anywhere on the wiki. weapon grade information is very relevant to have on each weapons given page because it helps users who are looking for performance over fashion find the weapon grade that's right for them, for example Fluted Short Sword dropped by Lycanthrope could have the highest min/max damage and durability for fluted short swords, wheres the ones made through black-smithing only have higher critical by 2 points and lower attack by 1 and 1 respectively. the thing that bothers me the most about it is how no reason was given by the user who removed all the information. it bothers me because from poking around I've seen that the user has actually provided a good amount of relevant information around on the wiki. could someone please elaborate why the weapon grade information has been removed with no explanation?
the lack of explanation makes it feel like its some sort of elitist plot to remove the evidence of weapons that perform much better then their NPC/gotcha/fashion-grade counter parts <.<;
..ok i joke with that plot idea, but seriously the weapon grade information should be posted back on the pages because its much more relevant then the new "available enchant types" bar that's recently been added to weapon pages.

It was removed from the pages because weapon grade is either "Stock" "Monster-Type" "Synthesized" or "Crafted". With regards to the monster drops, the boosts are entirely independent of the monster that dropped them. Having the table on every page is useless clutter, so it was moved to the category page and can still be found by searching for it.
I was the one who removed it after requesting permission to do so.

Id like to start by noting that until a discussion i had with a friend later the day that you posted your above reply Tellos, I wasn't actually aware that the 1-4 grading was random on the monster drops =o
the reason for this is that by coincidence when i got monster-dropped weapons they just happened to have matched up with all the cluttered grade graph. lucky i guess, and a bit strange.
that being said however, i still disagree with complete removal of the Grade section on weapons. i agree that it was indeed looking cluttered. all gear on the wiki contains a "grade" section. shields, clothing, armors etc. and i think weapons are the items that are most deserving of a grade section on their respective page since all the other types of gears mentioned rarely come in grade variants (to my knowledge none do aside from crafted armors, but don't quote me on this because i haven't investigated into it much) but weapons do and I'm not entirely focusing on just the average monster-grade variants.
plus, for the more simple folk out there its nice to not have to do the math (tho its not like X+4 is difficult, I'm only adding this comment because a few people i talked to mentioned that they feel the graph was convenient since this is a encyclopedia and its convenient to just see the information on the page of the item your looking up).
there was still some noteworthy information tacked on to the grade sections that the weapons list page you linked too both explains as relevant and lacks the detailing of on its own page (btw i did search and come across that page, tho i did neglect to check the discussion to see that you had the go-ahead on it, sorry if my first post made it sound like i was making an accusation of any sort, i was lightheartedly joking with the comment so if it rubbed you the wrong way im really sorry).
the relevant information i speak of is explained by the Note thats in bold on the weapons list. weapons that are dropped with a fixed durability increase. not all the fixed durability weapons are of a simple +4. usually they are +5. check the history on some of the weapon pages and you can see this, i suggest Bastard Sword and Hooked Cutlass.
the Bastard Sword page listed a variant with 19 durability dropped by Giant Lion, 17 durability dropped by Giant Sand Worm, 16 durability by Red Dragon. the Base durability for Bastard sword is 10, so each of those weapons are unique to their source, if the information that was in the list is indeed correct that is. i cant confirm their validity because i dont fight these bosses or know anyone who has received one of those noted items.
Hooked Cutlass is an example of a weapon that has no monster-grade version as neither of the 2 versions of it that were listed came from monster sources. both had the same stats except that they differed in durability. the "base" version listed was 10 durability, the second version came from Gachapons and has 15 durability, a bonus of 5 not 4.
i hope that's sufficient information to make my point that not all weapons are a simple +4, at least in regards to weapon durability. the single most convenient thing that listing grade could provide is informing players the source of those weapons which have the preset durability bonus dropped by the raid bosses(even if their additional bonus' are still random), and so that in cases such as the Hooked Cutlass for example, they would know the item they just got from a Gachapon is different then the collection book version and thus might fetch a higher price when sold in a player shop or traded to another individual.
it would be handy to still retain a grade section in my opinion. it could list Base, a simplified monster grade entry that only listes the +4 max bonus, an entry for crafted versions (smithing/synthing or carpentry for bow items, but avoiding multiple entry's of this type if the weapon is creatable by more then one method but end result is the same) and finally retaining unique grades that with a specific source such as those found in gachapons or dropped from raid bosses such as Dragons or found in connus treasure chests. to top it off, any grade section for any gear should really have the show/hide tab, i think its handy because it really reduces the the initial look of clutter for many entry's that can sometimes get cluttered looking.
the draw back to that idea is that now the grades would have to be reinstated and then edited, more work then i think i would be qualified to do since I've only ever done minor edits such as a misspelling here or there and a botched description that was on the Scrupulous enchant about a year ago.
Its really not my intention to make an argument of this, i just wanted to share the view Ive come too about this after the discussion i had with my friend.
i would like to thank you Tellos for sparking a discussion that helped me realize that the majority of monster-dropped weapon grades are random. thanks. and i realize i probably babbled a bit along they way, that's why i try to avoid commenting on wiki's. so sorry if the post was a bit more to chew on then wanted.
While I understand what you're saying, the giant field bosses also follow this trend. Giant field boss weapons always have a fixed amount added onto their base, then the grade applied to it. For example, the Bastard Sword you're talking about is clearly a +5 variant (10+5+Grade bonus). The problem with listing the grades is that stats are always randomized with the field boss or external source exception (solea chest weapons with 25 dura for example).
This is where the problem comes in. Remove the grade info from the item grades list (since it is truly random within the set range with no weight at all) and you've just got the drop list. If a certain source has more dura than normal, then you should specify it on the drop list. For example, you could put Desert Dragon (15~19 dur) or something of that nature.
This, however, does not acccount for all fishing or really other common means to get these items. For example, fished a Machete this afternoon with much lower stats than what was given on wiki, yet one of the locations includes the area as a source. What is done in this situation?
The base values listed on the page were incorrect and have been corrected. Fished items are always of base type but with 0/x durability with the exception of irrepairable items which have full dura. I believe this is listed on the fishing page. So nothing needs to be done in this situation.

The weapon listed is the stock version with no boosts or penalties.
I'm in Alexina and I run Rabbie Dungeon few day ago. I got spawn lagg, AI lagg, monster lagg etc... anyone got all of that in another server ??
What about adding Control of Darkness, Elven Magic Missile, Giant Full Swing, Awakening of Light, Spear of Light, Fury of Light, Shadow Spirit, Wings of Rage, and Wings of Eclipse to their respective Transformations under the Skills tab? The aforementioned abilities relate to that section.
Otherwise, we could add a separate category saying "Transformation Abilities" or something like that.
Since it was added, shouldn't we put up a magic def section in the def + protection area...?
From what I can see, 20int = 1 magic def o-o.
No idea how much it effects the damage taken though, needa run some tests later. If anyone has some input, or can at least put the section up, mind doing so?

I cant seem to get in becuz i get a message saying server cannot be reached but at the same time there are many people including people i know that are playing in the server without trouble. whats going on does anyone know?

If you don't mind, could you point out where exactly in that announcement it says that this maintenance is for g13? Infodude575 already jumped the gun and edited the main page and it seems someone JUST deleted the conversation about how the announcement is indecisive. I WANT this to be g13 as bad as anyone, but the announcement does NOT confirm that this update is for g13. Reread the wording. Also, where in the world did "7 hours" come from? You need to have undeniable evidence before claiming something is a fact. Its possible that they are not updating the game then, so we will have to wait.
