No, thank you for simplifying and beautifying the tables. Regardless, I'm glad I was able to get a little of a load off of your shoulders. --[[User:Powder Rune|Powder Rune]] 19:24, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Revision as of 11:24, 25 June 2010

Please use the new item template. Exmple: {{Item||name=White Tailed Mongoose fur||size=1 x 1}}. But i already fixed that one for you. ;3 - Random

Actually, for items that are used for exploration rewards we're using Template:StyleAnimalArtifact like on Black Kiwi Feather. ---Angevon 19:37, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

thats not helping me much on how exactly i add in more information...--chrissy of hailfire 21:38, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Re: O.O how do you make templates?

It's pretty easy, but you need to create a template page for each item. First, create a page called Template:Dataitem name here and paste [[this format onto it. Fill that out and save the page. Then, go to the item's page, and paste this at the top:
And that's it. If you have anymore questions, just ask. Also, no worries; creating pages for Iria monster drops is one of my to-does, so I don't mind helping out and fixing any mistakes. :) --Aramet (Talk) 22:45, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

I added QuestCost and changed QuestValue to QuestGoldValue since I modified the template recently. Please don't add Page, SellList, and Resell sections since those aren't being used anymore. Also I'd appreciate it if you added "<noinclude>[[Category:DataArtifact]]</noinclude>" to the bottom of the template page so that the template gets categorized. You can see how I changed Template:DataGray Dingo Claw as an example. Thanks for helping with this. ---Angevon 18:23, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
Additionally, since all furs, claws, hooves, etc. look the same no matter what drops it, you can just make an image like Hoof.png and use that on every monster that drops hooves. So you don't have to keep uploading pictures. ---Angevon 18:24, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

to do list

  • All things in Category:Stubs need basic info.
  • Items in Category:NeedDesc are missing their in-game descriptions! Add them if you find them in-game or see them in a shop.
  • Got a picture of yourself in spiffy armor? Items in Category:NeedPicture need pictures of them equipped in-game!
  • The items in Category:NeedRepair need their repair costs. Just go to the blacksmith and write down the repair cost for us (you don't even have to really repair there; just get us the number).
  • Similarly, the items in Category:NeedMarket are mostly missing their resale value at the NPC.
  • See Category:Incomplete for other pages and categories of missing info.
  • Special:WantedPages shows all the pages that don't exist but we have (dead) links to.

Re: updated images to being transparent

You don't have to worry about keeping a list of orphaned files unless you want to. Special:UnusedFiles lists them all. --- Angevon (Talk) 20:50, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Welcome messages

Please don't give new users welcome messages, unless the user specifically asks for guidance. Thanks. --- Angevon (Talk) 20:53, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Re: Propose Equipment list changes.

Hmm, I'm fine with changing the equipment lists colors to yours, but maybe you should get some other people's opinions too.

As for the equipment pages themselves, I'd rather keep them black w/ white text as they are right now myself. --- Angevon (Talk) 22:44, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

You can try putting the question on Q&A although it's been kind of dead lately. --- Angevon (Talk) 21:37, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

shoe table

looks good! -- ladywinter ~{talk page}~ 06:05, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

It's cumbersome to make a style template for ALL types. If you check in with the food templates, it's actually about 6 different templates depending on the type of food it is. However the theory of it goes like this: (sorry if this is tedious but I dunno how much coding you know)

IF: symbol appears THEN: this action happens OTHERWISE: other action happens

The current application of this code as it applies to tables is in the monster tables for the scrollable boxes:

{{#if:{{{DropMisc|}}}|{{#if:{{{DropsOverflow|}}}|<div style="overflow: auto; width: 100%; height: 150px;"> {{{DropMisc}}}</div>| {{{DropMisc|}}}}}|*None}}

That appears as a single line. It's two nested If/Then statements. Breaking it down:

{{#if:This Data Point Appears|THEN {{#if:And This Data Point Also Appears|THEN This Piece Of Code| OTHERWISE Display This Data}}|OTHERWISE, ie. If Neither is True, Display This}}

Hope that makes sense. -- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 13:54, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
