Is that bad...? Infodude575 17:27, 1 December 2010 (PST)
This wiki exists to record all data for the mabinogi game. If a page is complete and without error, then editing it further is pointless. If you question the wording or logic of a page you can discuss it in a talk page. Tellos 17:33, 1 December 2010 (PST)

...why wouldn't guides have spoilers? That's why they're guides... And why else would there be a giant spoiler banner at the top of the page? --κєνıи тαıĸ«) 17:42, 1 December 2010 (PST)

Because Admins say so. Also, G1, G2, G3, G7, G9, G10, G11, and G12 have the banner, but theres no content that reveals the plot. Infodude575 16:44, 2 December 2010 (PST)
You know Ikkisuki is an admin right? Tellos 16:46, 2 December 2010 (PST)
Perhaps... then you might be a hypocrite. Remember the "incident" with the editing on G1 page? Infodude575 16:53, 2 December 2010 (PST)
I don't recall doing anything to the G1 page, also there is no hypocrasy. Perhaps you are suggesting I'm a liar? Blue link = page, red link = no page, Gold link = Admin user page. Tellos 17:45, 2 December 2010 (PST)
See here then. Your fellow Admins say its not allowed. Infodude575 19:25, 2 December 2010 (PST)
I agree with the no-content-spoilers rule, my main reason for using the wiki mainstream guide is because it just only tells you How, but not What and Why (the real spoilers), which i want to figure out myself. Addressing the storyline in the mainstream articles should be sparingly used, and only when it helps with describing the How.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 21:59, 2 December 2010 (PST)

As im sure you know, i added the info about the cursed labyrinth, but i didnt really know how to properly format it, so i did my best. Thank you for reformatting it in a more streamlined manner.

Burnout/Overdrive

Oh? You're simply going to remove the entire tidbit rather than adjusting it to be correct?

I'm guessing "Overdrive" was their way of saying "Running Boost".

—Kevin

And despite what you said, you take it out and say I'm wrong...

Infodude575 (talk)17:57, 20 October 2013

Que? What's there to correct??????????

You said I'm wrong, what's right that justifies the removal?

Nexon said the word Overdrive, officially. Engine Shock exists in the game's code, and it can only be tied to the one new skill introduced with the Scooter. We use all sorts of terminology, correct?

Infodude575 (talk)18:08, 20 October 2013

Hm... maybe it was correct before you changed it... I wonder if that could have even been poss-- wait of course.

Nexon said the word Overdrive, officially.

You trust them too much. Not to mention, their info is not derived from the data.

Engine Shock exists in the game's code

And Dual Gun Mastery is an active skill, but whoopie-doo, what do you care?

You trust them too much. Not to mention, their info is not derived from the data.

It doesn't change the fact that they said it.

And Dual Gun Mastery is an active skill, but whoopie-doo, what do you care?

What does Dual Gun Mastery have to do with this?

Infodude575 (talk)18:24, 20 October 2013

It doesn't change the fact that they said it.

There's also a lot of other things they've said that were clearly wrong... I guess it's all correct now.

What does Dual Gun Mastery have to do with this?

Because we're apparently allowed to make up some info and not others. Apparently, the judge of that is you.

There's also a lot of other things they've said that were clearly wrong... I guess it's all correct now.

I never said that, and that has nothing to do with this.

Take a look at Assault Slash for example. Nexon named it many times before settling it on one, and we recorded all the names in Trivia.

Because we're apparently allowed to make up some info and not others. Apparently, the judge of that is you.

Me, making up information? What did I make up?

Infodude575 (talk)18:36, 20 October 2013

we

There's a big error in that statement.

I never said that, and that has nothing to do with this.

But apparently anything that Nexon says is official and must be correct!

Me, making up information? What did I make up?

I thought bringing up dual gun mastery was a big enough hint, but clearly not.

Yes 'we'. Pyrus contributed to it as well.

I never said anything about official meaning correct. You brought it in here.

I'm sorry, but I don't see what's made-up in there.

  • Splash damage commonly occurs from normal attacks.
  • Intuition intercepts normal attacks.
  • Normal attacks intercept smash, and I believe Trefor says it in the tutorial. I've been hit several times while charging and my marionette's been hit while attempting Acts 1 and 2.
  • Windmill is coded to automatically activate when being attacked with normal attacks or smash.
  • Of all the times I sucker-punched an enemy, not once have I ever gotten normal attacked.
Infodude575 (talk)19:22, 20 October 2013

Yes 'we'. Pyrus contributed to it as well.

Good job, you missed the point. Not that I expected any more from you.

I never said anything about official meaning correct. You brought it in here.

So we're putting incorrect information on the wiki now? Please leave.

I'm sorry, but I don't see what's made-up in there.

Clearly you still don't know how the combat system works on Mabinogi. Please leave even farther.

Please don't get me involved in your arguments, I have other things to worry about.

Pyro - (Talk)19:43, 20 October 2013

Then care to explain your point rather than just saying I missed it?

I never said anything about incorrect information either, you brought this all in here. This has nothing to do with being right or wrong, this is accuracy, and a wise man once said "Accuracy comes in both being true to the game but also what is truly meant by what the game doesn't say or doesn't say well."

Oh really? Please explain the combat system to me and any newbie that comes on this wiki.

Sorry Pyrus, I didn't mean to summon you here.

Infodude575 (talk)19:52, 20 October 2013

Then care to explain your point rather than just saying I missed it?

You started that "trend". If it weren't for you, that line would not be there, and none of that other stupid shit would be on any other page either.

...Accuracy in what sense? Copying the inaccurate?

In the context of the quote, that wasn't even in regards to text outside of the game -- it was in the game.

& I love how you quote Pyrus, despite his request to not be involved and after you "apologized".

Oh really? Please explain the combat system to me and any newbie that comes on this wiki.

...I have a feeling you didn't even read the edit before you reverted it.

"Stupid shit"? Explain to me what's wrong with noting different names. You realize a lot of other people have their own views on terminology, and Nexon even pointed out on Erinn Walker why they changed some names.

Explain to me how its inaccurate, considering the fact that its still one of Nexon's terminologies. I'm pretty sure the quote meant the website, too. Also, just because I quoted someone doesn't mean they're directly involved; from time to time everyone quotes a previous generation of humans, i.e. the dead; what can they do?

"this is not a skill. this is simply a shortcut for those who prefer mouseless-gameplay or easy skill canceling." - by your logic, wouldn't that mean Dual Gun Mastery is also a simple shortcut?

Infodude575 (talk)20:28, 20 October 2013

"Stupid shit"? Explain to me what's wrong with noting different names. You realize a lot of other people have their own views on terminology, and Nexon even pointed out on Erinn Walker why they changed some names.

And how exactly does that contribute toward the article?

I would see some sense made if they were redirects, but to simply list the different names they've had or have been called adds nothing to the article nor does it help anyone.

Explain to me how its inaccurate, considering the fact that its still one of Nexon's terminologies.

So are you saying it's now correct? Pick a side and stick to it!

"this is not a skill. this is simply a shortcut for those who prefer mouseless-gameplay or easy skill canceling." - by your logic, wouldn't that mean Dual Gun Mastery is also not a skill, but a simple shortcut?

...you might want to rethink that because, clearly, you have no idea what you're doing.

In fact, you might even want to step away from the word "logic", because you don't seem to know how to use it or what it is.

Contributes by pointing out that the skill, object, person, etc has a different name. Back then, all skills displayed two names, and those with a different name also had that shown.
If you plan to redirect and leave no explanation as to why a few words link to a page, that's going to cause a lot of confusion.

Tell me, where did the word "correct" come from that sentence?

What am I not getting? You're being too vague again.

Infodude575 (talk)21:02, 20 October 2013

Back then, all skills displayed two names, and those with a different name also had that shown.

Better start filling out the wiki with old, obsolete information!

If you plan to redirect and leave no explanation as to why a few words link to a page, that's going to cause a lot of confusion.

Better start making explanations to every redirect on this wiki, because you have no idea what the redirect means (oddly, no one else seems to be having that problem. It's probably because of their abundance of common sense. Damn common sense, am I right?).

Tell me, where did the word "correct" come from that sentence?

...You know what accuracy is, right?

What am I not getting? You're being too vague again.

You're helpless...

Its been done, archived pages. Also, multiple names occur in the NA server; Assault Slash was called Crash Slash in an enchant, and Master Tin calls Shooting Rush as Gun Bullet.

And you're not helping. You're avoiding the question.

I'm tired of this argument >.>

Infodude575 (talk)22:05, 20 October 2013

Its been done, archived pages.

Yes, but they're archive pages.

Also, multiple names occur in the NA server; Assault Slash was called Crash Slash in an enchant, and Master Tin calls Shooting Rush as Gun Bullet.

Yes. They're in-game (and "bullet" was clearly a typo, but since it's been said, it's official and must be correct!). Not out-game.

Don't forget about all of these. They need to be added to their respective articles, too.

...You know what accuracy is, right?

Before you submit, I'd still like to know the answer to this question. And in addition, "logic".

Sigh...

  • Accuracy - Precision.
  • Logic - Valid reasoning.
Infodude575 (talk)23:30, 20 October 2013

...

You get half a point for logic, but none for accuracy.

Accuracy does not necessarily mean precision. And you're missing a pretty big chunk of the rest of the definition *cough*correct*cough*.

Fancy quoting all around. I remember when Argus's name changed between Argus and Argos several times lol. Thankfully, both names get me to the page I'd want to get to. *off topic and totally unneeded?*

Durability

Wands lose 0.001 ~ 0.030 durability when used with a melee attack.

Have you verified that or are you just assuming because everything else is 0.001 ~ 0.030?

Wands appear to lose durability at the same averaged rate as melee weapons, .01 to .03 when unblessed.

**Magic Damage's formula has been revised into: Base Skill Damage + (Magic Attack x Skill Bonus)

What was this source because the mabination team does not seem to find this anywhere, please give an exact link if possible.

Pyro - (Talk)15:08, 20 August 2013

Here.

Magic Dmg Formula: Base Skill Dmg + Magic Atk x Skill Bonus = Final Damage

Infodude575 (talk)16:34, 20 August 2013

Oh, so that was the wrong formula or...?

Infodude575 (talk)01:51, 21 August 2013

Oversimplified version.

Pyro - (Talk)01:52, 21 August 2013

What was the supposed revised formula then...?

Infodude575 (talk)01:57, 21 August 2013

Exactly, nobody knows yet, not even KR websites. Like how nobody knew the recipe of white dragon wine until the master chef update.

Pyro - (Talk)08:11, 21 August 2013

*P.S. a lot of the data WILL change.

—the problem with adding future content

Has this ever actually happened before...? Aside from the already mentioned Pioneers of Iria and The Uncharted Lands.

Infodude575 (talk)01:14, 21 August 2013

What does bundling updates have to do with this? And EU also got G13 and G15 together, and we got G14S5 and G15 together.

Pyro - (Talk)01:47, 21 August 2013

Pioneers of Iria had stuff that was included in the individual patches that wasn't released till G7 or 8.

Infodude575 (talk)01:50, 21 August 2013

Again, what does that have to do with this? We're not discussing getting things early or late.

Pyro - (Talk)01:50, 21 August 2013

Early/Late implementations have a tendency to mess up existing updates. DFO had a similar issue and it had to undo it a patch, and then re-implement it later.

まそっぷ ! (talk)10:13, 21 August 2013

Ya but why are we talking about late/early patches?

Pyro - (Talk)12:59, 21 August 2013

I dunno, I only just saw the recent changes and saw that come up...

まそっぷ ! (talk)13:05, 21 August 2013

But yes, updates can be changed to be completely different. Original G13 had Dual Wield Mastery, Shield Mastery, Wand Mastery, Staff Mastery, it had a class system where certain destinies could not use certain skills, and other destinies can use certain skills but not train or rank them.

Pyro - (Talk)01:52, 21 August 2013

Are the previous parts even out in KR yet?

Yes they are, unfortunately, 90% of updates skip KR test completely and once every few months or so KR test updates to catch up with KR live. Every few months, when there is a major update, it goes to KR test before KR live and they remove all characters, banks, etc. So far, Druid, Diva, Vate, Master Chef, Treasure Hunter, none of those updates have been worthy enough to be test-first. KR test is at the Vate update at the time of writing this.

"G18EP10"
Who actually uses those terms? Much less in the search bar.

Pyro - (Talk)16:05, 24 August 2013

Mikaya made "G18EP1", "G18EP2", etc etc.

Infodude575 (talk)16:44, 24 August 2013

At the time, I wasn't aware of that silly Chapter 5 thread...so I assumed, like everyone else, it was G18EPx

まそっぷ ! (talk)18:20, 24 August 2013

I do. Especially in search bar.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)16:51, 24 August 2013

"Episode x" is a much more commonly used term.

Pyro - (Talk)16:54, 24 August 2013

g18epx takes fewer keystrokes

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)17:00, 24 August 2013

EPx then?

Infodude575 (talk)17:12, 24 August 2013

Episode x, EPx, Ex. Until now I have never seen anyone call them G18Ex or G18EPx, everyone just writes it out completely or shortens it more than that.

Pyro - (Talk)17:16, 24 August 2013

We can't be sure Nexon won't reset the episode counter the next time there's an update like Saga.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)18:29, 24 August 2013

As I said, we'd worry about that when/if that happens.

Pyro - (Talk)21:19, 24 August 2013

And until/unless we get confirmation that it won't happen, there's nothing wrong with leaving those g118epx redirects.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)22:01, 24 August 2013

I never asked to remove them, I'm just asking what's the point considering G18EP1 had like under 10 views and in my experience isn't that common of a term.

Pyro - (Talk)23:35, 24 August 2013

  • cough*redirects don't increase pagecount unless viewed without redirecting*cough*

Then what's the previous deletion markings based on "Unused Redirect" if we cannot event tell who views it? (And it wasn't stupid redirects either.)

Pyro - (Talk)15:50, 18 September 2013

Wasn't that supposed to be in Dream Part 1, which was included in The Enlightenment? If its not there, I guess I was being too careless with coypasting...

Infodude575 (talk)15:52, 18 September 2013

We only got part of Dream, we didn't get all of it. And personally, I don't even think that should be in Dream section. I mean, the beauty shop doesn't exist by the time dream update comes out, it gets replaced with the dressroom. (And Beauty Shop is treated as an event shop in other servers, with temporary cash items bought with pons.)

Pyro - (Talk)15:56, 18 September 2013

That's Morrighan? I never knew that.

She got a redesign when G1 was released. (Most of these pics are from Lorna and Pan, an SOME of these models can be found in data. Most were replaced though.)

Pyro - (Talk)15:43, 19 September 2013

That's her? According to Dungeon Altar#Trivia, you said that it's an unknown goddess.

Infodude575 (talk)15:48, 19 September 2013

Well, technically we don't know for sure if they're the same person but almost all references to her have been replaced besides minor things. Like that statue in dunbarton, the images on the sides of the church in dunbarton and tir chonaill, that last picture in The Goddess Who Turned into Stone. I don't know how I know this but I recall her name being mentioned somewhere as Shiela, the same name as More's wife. (Don't add that anywhere because I have no proof.) It is possible that that is Lymilark, since it is the church of Lymilark. But Lymilark is described as having no gender. And Morrighan is not worshiped in Erinn like she is in Vindictus or anything.

"Left, not right. Also isn't that gauge part of Elemental Wave or something? Personally, I think most of the things here are TMI and should be moved to the GC page"
The gauge itself isn't unlocked until you have Elemental Wave, but it is its own feature, separate from Elemental Wave. It's like saying Talents does not deserve its own page because that's stats.

About Saga reward edit

I tested to see if you only get 30k gold and 25 ap coupons from doing it once a day instead of completing the episode for the first time. I went on my alt to play episode 1 and 2 (on the same day) and found out that you do in fact get 30k gold and 25 ap coupons instead of just 12 ap coupons as a fixed reward. Are you certain that players only receive 12 ap coupons all the time?

Luminars (talk)11:05, 21 September 2013
Edited by author.
Last edit: 11:11, 21 September 2013

Was the episode you did highlighted?

When I did an un-highlighted Episode 10 by mistake, I only got 12 AP coupons and a saga viewing coupon, no gold or exp.

Infodude575 (talk)11:07, 21 September 2013

No. The first episode (episode 1) I did was the first one I did for the day so that counted as a daily. However, the second episode (episode 2) I completed was not highlighted but it was also my first time doing the episode (so I'd get a saga reward box anyway).

Luminars (talk)11:10, 21 September 2013

If its the first time, they may have changed it... I don't know, Nexon always gives short-hand details.

Infodude575 (talk)11:14, 21 September 2013

On my main I did episode 10 (this was about my 7th time doing it) as the daily and received 25 ap coupons and 30k gold as well as a saga viewing coupon. Did you do the episode recently, like when Nexon added the patch?

Luminars (talk)11:14, 21 September 2013

Yes, right after the patch. It wasn't the bonus, and I didn't get any gold nor 13 extra ap coupons.

Infodude575 (talk)11:20, 21 September 2013

Strange. Do you think you can test it again today?

Luminars (talk)11:23, 21 September 2013

Sadly not today, because all of them are highlighted.

Infodude575 (talk)11:36, 21 September 2013

My understanding is that the daily bonus is connected to getting Saga EP# Box, not doing it for the first time a day. I can get two bonuses on one day (after daily reset) if I do an episode between midnight and 7:00 AM and another one after 7:00 AM (that's when boxes reset and dailies light up again). That would explain why you could get another bonus if the episode wasn't highlighted - you got the box anyway (that or you ended episode 2 after "reset" on 7:00 AM, but if my theory is valid, it shouldn't matter anyway).

Itachin (talk)11:57, 21 September 2013

I probably worded what I said weirdly. By highlighted I thought you meant when gold letters appeared on the episode list. Yes, the daily bonus is connected to getting the saga ep box but to my understanding you only get the ep box if you 1) first time doing the episode 2) first time doing it after the 7am pst reset time.

What I want to know is why infodude get 12 ap coupons from the saga reward box instead of 30k gold and 25 ap coupons.

Unnecessary detailed information.

Hello. This is just a suggestion, but I've noticed from a few of your edits that they contain excessive amounts of information on one topic. There shouldn't be a paragraph in detail of every move a player has to make. Too much trivial information may confuse people.

Thanks for reading.

Ingame name/server?

Pyro - (Talk)11:59, 20 July 2013

Exactly why do you need to contact me? What's this about?

Infodude575 (talk)16:33, 20 July 2013

It's something personal, I'd understand if you don't want to share contact information with me.

Pyro - (Talk)23:19, 20 July 2013

Personal? I'm sorry, but this is kind of making me uncomfortable.

Infodude575 (talk)23:52, 20 July 2013

Okay then, forget this thread.

Secret Experiment Revision

I was showing comparisons back to the original ones, the ones that are accurate. The first one is still the same, but the second mission follows Clues VII (7). Also, these missions are the tipping balance between Basic and Intermediate.

Dejosa (talk)18:16, 9 June 2013

They rebalanced (more or less in a good or bad way...mostly bad) the mission and comparing two different missions to the renewal isn't exactly the best idea first off. Secondly, if a new player uses the wiki, they won't know what what's with conflicting edits and why is it comparing something that is no longer available. Although new and old players use the wiki, the wiki should be updated with the current and ongoing, rather compare something that is no longer available.

Your Edits

Are you trying to say generation difficult is not based on talent exp? Also,

Shadow Mission difficulties are fixed at either Basic or Intermediate.

implies every generation mission is capped at Basic or Intermediate.

Pyro - (Talk)02:59, 17 May 2013

I carried an old char with a Lv3 talent all the way to Shadow Experiment II and it changed to Int.

Act VII cooldown

How are you hitting a 20 second cooldown?

I very clearly observed a 1 second reduction upon reaching rank 5...

No "unsummoning" required.

Doomsday31415 (talk)21:59, 29 April 2013

Can you even load it immediately after the CD shadow is gone?

Infodude575 (talk)22:53, 29 April 2013

As soon as the countdown ends, I can load it.

The countdown decreased by 1 when I hit rank 5.

Doomsday31415 (talk)07:57, 30 April 2013

That's odd, because I have master Act 7 and I have to wait 3 seconds after the cooldown goes away in order to load it again.

Infodude575 (talk)10:07, 30 April 2013

If you need a second opinion, you can always ask User:LexisMikaya. Other than her, I don't know who else on this Wiki has puppetry.

Infodude575 (talk)17:40, 30 April 2013

I think I'll leave the ball in your court for now to figure out why it's NOT decreasing for you.

On my end, everything works as you'd expect. What are you doing differently?

Doomsday31415 (talk)18:36, 30 April 2013

I just use the skill and that's it. Then it doesn't let me load the skill right after the CD shadow goes away.

Infodude575 (talk)19:09, 30 April 2013

How does that line up with the text?

"Try again in X seconds."

Doomsday31415 (talk)19:46, 30 April 2013

It says absolutely nothing after the CD goes away, though the text is normal during CD.

Infodude575 (talk)20:05, 30 April 2013

In that case, are you sure the delay isn't there for all ranks?

Doomsday31415 (talk)20:33, 30 April 2013

Its all there except for Act 1.

Infodude575 (talk)21:31, 30 April 2013

The cooldown sure is buggy for some reason. My thoughts would be due to the Mastery skill not reducing them as it should, along with the cooldown time reduction from the act skills itself. It really doesn't bother me as much, but does get annoying when something should be ready 3 seconds ago...that time span can be a bit detrimental for puppeteers since majority of their attack force is from the Act skills.

☽S☆A☆R☆I☆A☾ (talk)21:35, 30 April 2013

Its pretty hard to tell if the mastery is affecting it since 15% isn't a lot...

Infodude575 (talk)21:54, 30 April 2013

Still there for me -_-

Infodude575 (talk)19:20, 14 May 2013

It's there for you, it's not there for me. Therefore the cooldown may remain at 20 seconds due to a glitch.

Have you tried comparing a new character with rank F versus your rank 1? Maybe your computer's lag is causing issues...

Doomsday31415 (talk)19:27, 14 May 2013

I don't want an alt, too much work, no benefit.

Infodude575 (talk)19:35, 14 May 2013

Then how do you know the cooldown isn't reduced?

Just because it's longer than you expect, doesn't mean it wasn't even longer before...

Doomsday31415 (talk)19:58, 14 May 2013

Rank Master Control Marionette = -15% CD
Rank Master Act 7 = 17 Sec CD.

17 * 0.15 = 2.55
17 - 2.55 = 14.45 = 14 (rounded down).

Uses Act 7, takes 2 secs approx to run. "Blah blah blah 12 seconds". 12 seconds later, does not let me load. 3 seconds later, I can load.

...Okay, so maybe its not the Act Skill itself, but Control Marionette's -CD not working right... Doom you never said what Rank your CM was.

Infodude575 (talk)20:15, 14 May 2013

Rank 9 Control Marionette (-5% CD) Rank 1 Climactic Clash (17 second CD)

Expected CD of about 16 seconds.

Maybe a second of delay between the countdown hitting zero and the skill loading.

Countdown is 16 seconds, CD is 17.

So it sounds like Control Marionette has the glitch.

Doomsday31415 (talk)20:38, 14 May 2013

Yeah you probably don't notice it since -5% isn't a lot.

How does your other act skills fare, or did you not touch them sufficiently?

Infodude575 (talk)20:43, 14 May 2013

Since I only adopted puppetry recently, all the other act skills are Rank F.

Now that it's been brought up, there is a small delay for the other skills as well (except for possibly act 1).

Doomsday31415 (talk)20:52, 14 May 2013

Finally, we solved the mystery of the CD glitch.

Infodude575 (talk)20:58, 14 May 2013

Yep! :D

Now go figure out counter punch :P

Doomsday31415 (talk)22:57, 14 May 2013

I tested this up against a wall. The cooldown sometimes will glitch for reasons unknown. Lag or no lag.

Caliburn...

Edited by author.
Last edit: 01:15, 12 May 2013

I am adding, what appears to be, a ton of information on Caliburn. I can double check it since I'm doing each of generations twice for Chapter 3. Mainly cause I was lazy and this renewal just killed the exp.

Basically I just need a double, or maybe even triple, check on what I'm saying. I'm merely paraphasing everything I read during G10

Why do you need to tell me? Just do it.

Infodude575 (talk)01:14, 12 May 2013

Cause I'm not sure if it's right o-o;; You know more about the mythology more than anyone here, so I figured "Why not ask infodude?"

I got it based on memory and mythology is from google searches.

Infodude575 (talk)01:26, 12 May 2013

As a side note, could you also put in information to Leymore and Cai?

Infodude575 (talk)01:31, 12 May 2013

Well you certainly remember more than most people :x II'm kinda shooting blanks when it comes to memory.

Yeah, that was terribly a long time ago... Only when I completely dedicate myself to something my memory functions

Doppelganger video

Umm, it's violating the policy how...? As far as I am concerned, it's fine the way it is.

☽S☆A☆R☆I☆A☾ (talk)10:37, 26 April 2013

Last I checked you're supposed to disable your User Inferace.

If I may suggest, cut down the time. Wikis aren't meant for you to showcase gestures (the introduction) and no one wants to see you running ten seconds towards an Aardvark when you could have just used it on another mongoose that you ran past.

Infodude575 (talk)10:42, 26 April 2013

^If this isn't in the policy, it should be.

Doomsday31415 (talk)12:29, 26 April 2013

Yeah it's not in the policy. I was tempted to edit it or make a note, but had to rush to a final, which I probably bombed since it's Math...zzz

☽S☆A☆R☆I☆A☾ (talk)13:46, 26 April 2013

I don't see anything like that in the policy. It just says disable chat windows/chat box.

☽S☆A☆R☆I☆A☾ (talk)10:44, 26 April 2013

Huh, my mind must be playing tricks with me again...

Infodude575 (talk)10:46, 26 April 2013

Well, I cut the footage to show the skill being charged up and attack the boar...wish youtube would let me upload over a current video instead of having to redo all the descriptions.

Trivia Placement

In the only discussion About it that I'm aware of, the closest thing there was to a consensus(among the people who weren't completely against allowing trivia) was that if it's added, it should be at the bottom of the page. Was there another discussion i missed?

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)08:52, 20 April 2013

I don't remember exactly where, but it was Kevin's idea.

Infodude575 (talk)10:05, 20 April 2013

You said it in one of your edits.

Infodude575 (talk)17:31, 20 April 2013

If I said that, then it's based on what was already existing. And if so, it's not like that cannot be changed.

*shrug* Well, you were the boss, so...

Infodude575 (talk)17:45, 20 April 2013

Was it on a talk page, or in an edit summary?

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)19:32, 20 April 2013

Why would trivia go before related enchants? o_O In my opinion trivia should be before the references section but after everything else. But it's not that important.

Angevon (Talk)20:35, 20 April 2013

I think the related enchants section was added long after the trivia section, and since the controversy about trivia was kinda gone, nobody was paying enough attention to fix that arrangement. People who added trivia later probably put it before enchants only to keep the order consistent with the of other pages since they weren't sure/didn't remember/didn't know about the original plan.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)21:48, 20 April 2013

I agree with Angevon. Everything else -> Trivia -> References. (Since Trivia can include references.)

Bleh, do whatever, I don't care.

Infodude575 (talk)09:45, 21 April 2013

Defense/Protection

"Contrary to popular belief, it is not possible to have negative Defense and/or Protection."

Where exactly are you getting this information from anyways?

Valmiria (talk)08:46, 8 April 2013

Please wait for a patch to leave Korean Test Server before posting about it in Patches, things do change in between the test server and official server in updates like this, like with in G16S2 patch. (I wasn't the one originally opting for waiting.)

Pyro - (Talk)21:27, 20 March 2013

Yeah but, we can always change it in the future right?

By the way, is it part of 18 or 19?

Infodude575 (talk)21:30, 20 March 2013

Ya we can, but better to wait for it to come out officially next time.

Bare Hands and Field Monsters

According to one of your edits, using bare hands to defeat field monsters has a drop rate of 0% as an anti-bot measure.

  1. What qualifies as a "field monster"? Just field bosses?
  2. How/Where did you get this information?
Doomsday31415 (talk)12:16, 16 March 2013
  1. No. Anything "in the field" qualifies as a "field monster".
  2. Talk:First_Aid#x9_-.3E_8_4722
Infodude575 (talk)13:03, 16 March 2013

Wow, I didn't want to believe it, so I tested it myself. I came up with the following results:

  • At the very least, this applies to all the monsters in Gairech Hills and just north of the Qilla Base Camp.
  • Regardless of what weapons were used during the fight, if "bare hands" were used as the finishing blow, no drops occurred.
    • This includes anything that could possibly drop, such as gold and items.
  • Conversely, as long as the finishing blow was not "bare hands", drops could occur.
  • No drops occurred with "bare hands", even if skills such as Smash, Windmill, Final Hit, or Icebolt were used.

This would explain why I rarely get drops from ancient foxes and such. I don't even bother using a weapon most of the time.

I'd still like the clarify which monsters this applies to, though. For instance, this applies even to the bears, but I know it doesn't apply to bandits during commerce. Perhaps it doesn't apply to anything that "spawns" the same way as a dungeon?

Doomsday31415 (talk)14:44, 16 March 2013

Can't be so sure if it also applies to field bosses. This was before bandits were implemented so I doubt it affects them.

Infodude575 (talk)17:41, 16 March 2013

I'm saying I don't know whether or not it affects field bosses, hence why I'm asking someone to find out! :D

Doomsday31415 (talk)18:09, 16 March 2013

Apparently I only imagined myself getting drops from commerce bandits x.x

You don't get anything from them either!

Doomsday31415 (talk)10:11, 17 March 2013

Using Bare hands on anything out in the field yields nothing. I'm pretty sure it affects all field mobs, both regular and field bosses.

Letter of Guarantee and Smuggler

I noticed you mentioned letters do not work with the smuggler. How do you know this? Did you try it yourself?

Doomsday31415 (talk)13:11, 9 March 2013

Confirmed it myself.

Infodude575 (talk)16:03, 9 March 2013

That's a shame :(

If it weren't for those letters, I'd have a reason to actually go do smuggling now and then.
