- This wiki exists to record all data for the mabinogi game. If a page is complete and without error, then editing it further is pointless. If you question the wording or logic of a page you can discuss it in a talk page. Tellos 17:33, 1 December 2010 (PST)

- I agree with the no-content-spoilers rule, my main reason for using the wiki mainstream guide is because it just only tells you How, but not What and Why (the real spoilers), which i want to figure out myself. Addressing the storyline in the mainstream articles should be sparingly used, and only when it helps with describing the How.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 21:59, 2 December 2010 (PST)

Are you trying to say generation difficult is not based on talent exp? Also,
implies every generation mission is capped at Basic or Intermediate.
I carried an old char with a Lv3 talent all the way to Shadow Experiment II and it changed to Int.
How are you hitting a 20 second cooldown?
I very clearly observed a 1 second reduction upon reaching rank 5...
No "unsummoning" required.
That's odd, because I have master Act 7 and I have to wait 3 seconds after the cooldown goes away in order to load it again.
If you need a second opinion, you can always ask User:LexisMikaya. Other than her, I don't know who else on this Wiki has puppetry.
I think I'll leave the ball in your court for now to figure out why it's NOT decreasing for you.
On my end, everything works as you'd expect. What are you doing differently?
I just use the skill and that's it. Then it doesn't let me load the skill right after the CD shadow goes away.
It says absolutely nothing after the CD goes away, though the text is normal during CD.
The cooldown sure is buggy for some reason. My thoughts would be due to the Mastery skill not reducing them as it should, along with the cooldown time reduction from the act skills itself. It really doesn't bother me as much, but does get annoying when something should be ready 3 seconds ago...that time span can be a bit detrimental for puppeteers since majority of their attack force is from the Act skills.
It's there for you, it's not there for me. Therefore the cooldown may remain at 20 seconds due to a glitch.
Have you tried comparing a new character with rank F versus your rank 1? Maybe your computer's lag is causing issues...
Then how do you know the cooldown isn't reduced?
Just because it's longer than you expect, doesn't mean it wasn't even longer before...
Rank Master Control Marionette = -15% CD
Rank Master Act 7 = 17 Sec CD.
17 * 0.15 = 2.55
17 - 2.55 = 14.45 = 14 (rounded down).
Uses Act 7, takes 2 secs approx to run. "Blah blah blah 12 seconds". 12 seconds later, does not let me load. 3 seconds later, I can load.
...Okay, so maybe its not the Act Skill itself, but Control Marionette's -CD not working right... Doom you never said what Rank your CM was.
Rank 9 Control Marionette (-5% CD) Rank 1 Climactic Clash (17 second CD)
Expected CD of about 16 seconds.
Maybe a second of delay between the countdown hitting zero and the skill loading.
Countdown is 16 seconds, CD is 17.
So it sounds like Control Marionette has the glitch.
Yeah you probably don't notice it since -5% isn't a lot.
How does your other act skills fare, or did you not touch them sufficiently?
Since I only adopted puppetry recently, all the other act skills are Rank F.
Now that it's been brought up, there is a small delay for the other skills as well (except for possibly act 1).
I tested this up against a wall. The cooldown sometimes will glitch for reasons unknown. Lag or no lag.
I am adding, what appears to be, a ton of information on Caliburn. I can double check it since I'm doing each of generations twice for Chapter 3. Mainly cause I was lazy and this renewal just killed the exp.
Basically I just need a double, or maybe even triple, check on what I'm saying. I'm merely paraphasing everything I read during G10
Cause I'm not sure if it's right o-o;; You know more about the mythology more than anyone here, so I figured "Why not ask infodude?"
Well you certainly remember more than most people :x II'm kinda shooting blanks when it comes to memory.
Yeah, that was terribly a long time ago... Only when I completely dedicate myself to something my memory functions
Umm, it's violating the policy how...? As far as I am concerned, it's fine the way it is.
Last I checked you're supposed to disable your User Inferace.
If I may suggest, cut down the time. Wikis aren't meant for you to showcase gestures (the introduction) and no one wants to see you running ten seconds towards an Aardvark when you could have just used it on another mongoose that you ran past.
Yeah it's not in the policy. I was tempted to edit it or make a note, but had to rush to a final, which I probably bombed since it's Math...zzz
I don't see anything like that in the policy. It just says disable chat windows/chat box.
Well, I cut the footage to show the skill being charged up and attack the boar...wish youtube would let me upload over a current video instead of having to redo all the descriptions.
In the only discussion About it that I'm aware of, the closest thing there was to a consensus(among the people who weren't completely against allowing trivia) was that if it's added, it should be at the bottom of the page. Was there another discussion i missed?
I don't remember exactly where, but it was Kevin's idea.
You said it in one of your edits.
If I said that, then it's based on what was already existing. And if so, it's not like that cannot be changed.
*shrug* Well, you were the boss, so...
Why would trivia go before related enchants? o_O In my opinion trivia should be before the references section but after everything else. But it's not that important.
I think the related enchants section was added long after the trivia section, and since the controversy about trivia was kinda gone, nobody was paying enough attention to fix that arrangement. People who added trivia later probably put it before enchants only to keep the order consistent with the of other pages since they weren't sure/didn't remember/didn't know about the original plan.
Bleh, do whatever, I don't care.
"Contrary to popular belief, it is not possible to have negative Defense and/or Protection."
Where exactly are you getting this information from anyways?
Please wait for a patch to leave Korean Test Server before posting about it in Patches, things do change in between the test server and official server in updates like this, like with in G16S2 patch. (I wasn't the one originally opting for waiting.)
Yeah but, we can always change it in the future right?
By the way, is it part of 18 or 19?
According to one of your edits, using bare hands to defeat field monsters has a drop rate of 0% as an anti-bot measure.
- What qualifies as a "field monster"? Just field bosses?
- How/Where did you get this information?
- No. Anything "in the field" qualifies as a "field monster".
- Talk:First_Aid#x9_-.3E_8_4722
Wow, I didn't want to believe it, so I tested it myself. I came up with the following results:
- At the very least, this applies to all the monsters in Gairech Hills and just north of the Qilla Base Camp.
- Regardless of what weapons were used during the fight, if "bare hands" were used as the finishing blow, no drops occurred.
- This includes anything that could possibly drop, such as gold and items.
- Conversely, as long as the finishing blow was not "bare hands", drops could occur.
- No drops occurred with "bare hands", even if skills such as Smash, Windmill, Final Hit, or Icebolt were used.
This would explain why I rarely get drops from ancient foxes and such. I don't even bother using a weapon most of the time.
I'd still like the clarify which monsters this applies to, though. For instance, this applies even to the bears, but I know it doesn't apply to bandits during commerce. Perhaps it doesn't apply to anything that "spawns" the same way as a dungeon?
Can't be so sure if it also applies to field bosses. This was before bandits were implemented so I doubt it affects them.
I noticed you mentioned letters do not work with the smuggler. How do you know this? Did you try it yourself?
Just because people no longer get the old quests doesn't mean they don't already have them, so don't remove them. It'd be better to add a note that indicates that they're no longer obtainable if you don't already have it.
Eeh. Not really a point in keeping obsolete, out-of-date information, though. Tends to mislead people to think it's still possible. Obsolete, out of date information is what the history is for.
What if we make an archived page for the old tutorial quest chains? Since people who still had it can still do it. And explicitly say that you can't get this chain again.
Yes, old tutorials and quests should be archived. Except no one, apparently, is willing to do the work.
Can you add in the templates for all the Demonic weapons? I'm new to wiki editing and cannot for the life of me figure how to do them correctly.
Unfortunately you're going to need to ask someone else, like User:Ikkisuki, because I'm not familiar with templates and he warned us not to mess with them.
I tested with and without Control Marionette and with and without Act 9. I didn't test thoroughly, though. I only made very quick and broad observations.
When the skill is used on a target that is about to strike the user will cause the target to deliver their assault. It is better to advise any user of the skill to not do so.
Well, if it doesn't inflict stun before the pull, I think anyone can get the gist that it's best not to do it at a close range.
I tested it on both near and far. The target will execute their melee combo if they are pulled towards the user.
Targets immediately resorting to normal attacks after being attacked applies to everything, not just Wire Pull.
Have you actually seen a marionette use climactic crash while under invigorating encore? Considering that it requires the player to charge the skill, it's highly doubtful that it can use the skill on its own, hence why I did not include it.
I don't even have it, but it probably does.
Why'd you remove the G1 and G3 final dungeon nerfs from the list? Did that change not enter the official server according to your sources?
Mabidata, Soluna took it out, so I'm assuming it didn't go through or something.
He implied the existence of other things but not exactly what. I know for a fact Guild Battle was made a bit harder, aside from a better title, but he didn't write about that. You can try going to this Japanese blog if you understand, but I'm afraid I'm a novice.
I guess that's true...
it's true, I helped out a friend's friend and she disconnected during the cutscene but she still got the reward and we didn't have to redo. She said it also happened to her friend.
