Glas Ghaibhleann is a species of giants that once were used during the First Battle of Mag Tuireadh.[1]

AI

  • It can summon monsters that may prove key in defeating it.
    • The monster summon requires that none of the monsters are left except for Glas Ghaibhleann, and that it is aggroed on someone.

Battle Tips

If you cannot deal enough damage to outpace Glas's regeneration, Wound him so he cannot regenerate his hp.

Generation 1

  • If you lack damage or wounding methods, you may burn Seal Scrolls dropped by the Light Gargoyles it summons in order to help you deal more wounding damage.
    • They spawn in a hexagonal pattern around Glas, but if a wall is in the way, fewer will be summoned.
  • Another method would be to lure Glas into the small room before the boss room and snare him on a campfire, allowing him to be attacked repeatedly without being able to reach the player(s).

Generation 9

  • Summons several Crag Cows which have a 100% wounding rate. Unlike the G1 version's Light Gargoyles, these minions do not drop Seal Scrolls.
  • When you use Wind Blast three times in a row against the summoned Crag Cows, they will become "confused" and attack Glas Ghaibhleann, wounding it. After some time, the Crag Cows will return to normal and resume attacking you again.
    • Just like for Generation 1's version, if you are unable to deal enough damage to outpace the regeneration, you should make use of the Crag Cows.

Trivia

  • The completed version of Glas Ghaibhleann does not have two white wings, unlike its g9 version, but one broken white and one full black wing. The reason for this is unkonwn.
  • Glas's battle track bears the leitmotif of the main melody of An Old Story from Grandma, Mabinogi's main theme.
  • The Generation 9 Glas Ghaibleann will appear upright after death; This is because it has no death animation.
