Iria Treasure Hunt Event (Aug. 2011)

From Mabinogi World Wiki
August 5th 2011 - August 7th 2011

Description

When the Mabinogi servers return online after maintenance, the Iria Treasure Hunt Event will kick off! Pick up some L-Rods and start searching the Maiz Prairie for buried treasure! L-Rods may be obtained from a few NPCs, but they are most readily available when speaking to Alexina.

Haven't used L-Rods yet? Don't worry, they work just like the game "hot and cold." The L-Rods will light up and beep when you draw near to buried treasure and artifacts. The more frequent the beeping, the closer you are to treasure. During this event, more often than not, you will find a treasure chest. Take care, occasionally you will uncover a treasure chest guarded by monsters. Only after defeating the defending creatures will you be able to open the treasure chest!

Treasure chests may be found in both the Rano and Connous regions, so feel free to do a little exploring! The Iria Treasure Hunt event will last from 5:00 PM on Friday, August 5th to 11:59 PM on Sunday, August 7th.[1]

Basic Information

Using an L-Rod and Exploration, you may uncover treasure chests in Rano and Connous.

  • Rano contains both event-only chests and normal chests that can be found any time, not just during the event period.
    • Normal chests may spawn monsters randomly, requiring them to be defeated before the chest may be opened.
  • Connous contains only event chests.
  • Event chests do not give any Exploration EXP when discovered.
  • There are many untranslated Sewing Patterns. To determine which one you have, simply equip a Tailoring Kit and the untranslated Sewing Pattern.
    • Attempting to make the item on the Sewing Pattern will bring up the image of the item listed on the sewing pattern.
  • As with Sewing Patterns, certain Blacksmith Manuals are untranslated.
    • To determine what you have, go to any anvil and equip a Blacksmith Hammer and the untranslated manual. Attempting to make the item will give you the image of the item listed on the manual.
