The dura...

The dura...

seems to burn awful fast doesn't it? 2 raft runs killed a blessed 5 dura one o.e...I think I overused it, and killed the dura.

I'm surprised nobody tested this since three years back.

Yes, durability loss is increased by what seems to be a factor of 7 approx.

I dunno what you're talking about. Before the Holy Eagle Mask came out, I used one spell book forever with no issues. It was one of the 30 dura ones and I never hit 0 dura.

When spellbooks came out they were incredibly durable. I remember dueling with a 5-dura palala pre-g16, treating it as a shield normally is. It took a week to break that. However when spell book repair quills came out, the things suddenly became extremely fragile, I broke a 5 durability book in an hour of regular use.

I checked the dura loss and it took me less than 15 hits to break a single durability on the spell book whilst blessed. And this is a 30 dura book. I checked a friend's HEM via [unstated methods totally legit pls no sue] and the result came up the same. The durability loss was insane.

Hmmmmm. Maybe the dura use did increase but I didn't notice since I started using staves more often. I also rarely took hits back then since I was a very fragile mage so that might contribute to the longevity of my book.

WHOA BLAST FROM THE PAST

I used to use these things and it ate my dura like candy. They still do to this day. It is unchanged as far as I'm concerned. I can tell you that books weren't exactly as useful as they used to be waaaay back then. I burned through these books in serveral rafting runs before I decided, "Screw it" and went back to to the Pink Kite Shield
