Another MML related site

Should we include this one in the MML section?

Official-site: (http://mabiassist.logue.be/PSGConverter)

The converter: (http://logue.github.com/PSGConverter/)

This site has an alternate way of composing but follows the same idea. I feel some one should look more into it. As a composer, it seems be mod related; one has to know the number of the instrument to change the sound of the midi. I don't mind it but I don't think we should encourage mod references either. I am at a loss.

By the way the link for the Nexon Mabinogi Composer is now broken; should we use this one instead: (http://mabinogi.mmosite.com/tool/composer.shtml)

Isn't this the inverse of composing? Creating a midi file? How's that assist with ingame MML creation? :c And this is not a mod, nor related.

Nexon took down all the composers due to copyright infringement as well as possible lawsuits.

MabiMML (A once popular MML site) was taken down because the guy hosting it came across troubles that range from copyrights, to being sued by the actual composers/singers. So he took it down at the request of the Government. sad sad day for composers everywhere the day it went down. I think there's more to it than what I said, but that's all I recall.

Well to know the 'instrument number' a gamer has to extract the data of the game package to look into the xml files which shows the instruments number. It is not a mod for sure but a tool is need to extract the package, the tool(s) are usually found inside mod sites, however.

I don't mind its origin. As long as it can help and not get anyone into trouble, I'm alright with it.

Extraction of game files is not a mod, nor is the extractor.

I still don't see the point in this converter? You can do the same a lot simpler with what'sitcalled... 3MLE.

Ke-fun21:31, 19 July 2012

I did say it is not a mod but the tools are found in mod sites.

You missed the point of the discussion:

Should we include this one in the MML section?

Ryuuri22:13, 19 July 2012

And you missed my point: what does this have to do with MML other than converting into a midi file, which you can easily do with another 3rd party program, which does not include the use of mods or mod sites?

Ke-fun22:15, 19 July 2012

To be blunt: Yes or No?

Ryuuri22:17, 19 July 2012

I don't see the usefulness to be honest...

When you say MML site, most people will think of a site where you can copy and paste the song in that format onto mabi, NOT a site where you just go for converting to a .midi format.

I think what kevin is trying to get at is: why list a site that only converts when there are other programs that can do it all?
