Propose to her

Propose to her

What did she say if you propose? I recall her admitting feelings to Milletians... Yet she can't marry them? Awkward. o-o

Infodude57517:40, 3 November 2011

Proposing to her will prompt that she cannot marry a Milletian. :c she has feeling for the Milletian but for some reason can't marry one. She also finds it cute and silly that a Milletian proposes to someone they just met. The Milletian and Portia become friends either way.

Isn't that weird though?

Is it her daddy's will, I wonder...?

Infodude57518:30, 3 November 2011

her dad's will was to stay in filia until someone solves the 3 box riddle I think...It's in Portia's Love Letter (Content) somewhere...

LexisMikaya20:55, 3 November 2011

I know the will. But why can't she marry Milletians though?

Maybe its because Milletians cannot die?

Infodude57521:25, 3 November 2011

Most likely. This gives us the impression that Portia is actually a mortal(is that even the right word...) elf subject to death and aging? Since Milletians can rebirth :x...I guess it is a sense of immortality? I'm not one to think too hard on this stuff @@

In some MMOs, Elves tend to age slower than Humans (they still die from aging and death; just a lot slower and they are not immortal). Heck, even in Dragon Nest, an Elf broke down because she loved a Human who died, and according to his diary, he would have been an old man and his lover would have no change in physical appearance at all.

But in Mabinogi: Fantasy Life, Elves undergo the curse of Neamhain. I think they still age normally as Humans though, since Milletian Elves do.

That's probably it then. and isn't it desert ghost...?

nvm you fixed it.

LexisMikaya21:45, 3 November 2011

I think I'm going to conclude that it's because Milletians are incapable of death, and it might hurt the Milletian to see them die.

I've read some stories about Creature and Human relationships (Goblin + Human for example), yet the Creatures tend to age slower than Mortals and fear their lovers agonizing death of aging. Obviously its painful to watch your true love vanish before your eyes.

I don't mean to bring this up after so many months, but does she actually admit her feelings to a female Milletian?

Infodude57520:46, 2 May 2012

As I recall, yes.

☽ミ☆カ☆ヤ☾21:55, 2 May 2012

So... she's bisexual? o-o

Infodude57522:00, 2 May 2012

Ideally yes...but I see more of a...friendship.

☽ミ☆カ☆ヤ☾22:09, 2 May 2012

Well you don't see your friends kissing them on the cheek or having you feel their heartbeat, do you?

Then again, I'm not a girl so...

Infodude57522:30, 2 May 2012

lol well it depends on the relationship...not sure about the heartbeat thing, but my female friends kiss me on the cheek. Maybe I'm just well loved .o.

moving on, Her heart is with bassanio and no where else. I don't think it quite matters since you get turned down anyways.

☽ミ☆カ☆ヤ☾22:36, 2 May 2012

I made an account 10 years later, just to tell you how wrong you are. It's very clear by the end of the questline that she doesn't love Bassiano as much as she thought she did herself, and she quite literally has a nervous breakdown over not being able to marry nor see the milletian again, regardless of gender the text should be the same. Knowing nexon however, it was probably written with a male protag in mind, but that's what it is. No friend says "Was my feelings not clear to you?" While sobbing to you after their supposed happy marriage.

I'm aware, I merely asked out of curiosity.
