Been trading like 11k to 14k worth of goods and I NEVER engage any bandits higher than a 'newbie'...

Which is frustrating cuz I can one hit them all the time no matter what and won't gain anything cuz their levels are too low.

0~19k Ducat = Newbie 20k+ = plain

I was trading like 26k worth of goods and happen to engage a rookie bandit and it's boss at the route to tir. It was tier 3 goods from cobh.... So maybe the tier of items will affect it too.

atuly i did alitle more test i think it has to do with the tire of what your carying like if you have a full load of tire 3 things you will peobly fight rookies

EDIT: Nvm that block of text...

I think its primarily the distance you are travelling currently, and the amount of ducat in goods you are carrying, with tiered items making a difference.

Carry a tier 3 item over 2 town distance and you'll hit better mobs.

nvm what i said the boss dosent spawn everytime when fighting trained it seem like it my first time but iv seen times with out it

Okay, after trading for a while this is my conclusion. The difficulty of the bandits is based on the price of your entire lot if you were to sell it at the nearest Trade Post. So lets say I have two Belvast safes. And Belvast Safes are +110 ducats in Dunbarton, -30 ducats in Emain Macha, and +300 ducats in Tara. That would mean I'd witness stronger bandits in Dunbarton and Tara and weaker bandits in Emain Macha.

It is not based on:

  • How far you have traveled.
  • What tier item it is.
  • Your credit level in the nearest town.

And as you know, the more people sell a certain commodity in a certain town, that changes the price of the commodity.

Further testing still shows to be true. Whoever changed it back needs to stop spreading rumors. Although, I think weight may have some role in the equation.

Ehh, all I did was change it to what was said on the Commerce page...

I don't do tests. I just shove whatever Info I can find.

I was referring to this.

... Ohh...

As for weight, I doubt it. Bandits have Giants and Ogres on their sides, and they have no problem carrying a whole bunch of stuff... though I can't say about the Skeleton Ogre Armor... Then again they can just divide it into many pieces.

My impression has been that the level of bandits depends on the actual sale value of your load, not just the profit you would make off it. That's after doing enough trading for all towns to be at levels 5 to 7. Carrying very expensive items seems to me to spawn much stronger monsters than a cheap load that would make more profit. I haven't paid enough attention to know if that varies depending on the sell value for the area you're in.

Oh, I misworded, then, that was what I meant. It's Initial Value + Increase in Value.

Naw, nevermind my post. Your post made sense when I re-read it. I'm just sleepy. By the way, all I just changed was adding "to" to the line "If you find yourself having trouble with the Bandits, keep in mind that you can ask other players to accompany you."
