Let me break it down for you: If you have an r5 upgraded weapon equipped, that means you can't have the brionac equipped (Hence, it's not SoG). Spear something with that r5 weapon equipped, and you won't see that much difference in terms of damage Also, if spamming spear of light enough times in a day to derank it 4 times isn't using a skill, then I don't know what is.
