Actually, that's what I thought was not the case...in my opinion, it gets easy to confuse that point, since any attempt to Life Drain the Doppelganger has to make the character using LD hit the HP roof. That's why I made an edit all those months back, thinking that one needed Rank F LD before being able to succeed...and then was subsequently corrected.
Since I'm not in a position to confirm, though, I'll leave it for now.
