Do you really think we should make a page on how to beat these bosses? There are enough strategy pages out there already and the G-walkthroughs that I think that people should be able to come up with their own strategies. Why not just mention some of their attributes that are specific to those enemies? --redemption2 20:57, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

  • I understand, I just didn't want to step on your toes after you made such a detailed page. I'll make an adendem to it instead of just plain rewriting it. --redemption2 14:24, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Mage training? Hmmm, maybe after I rebirth. My guildees frequently teach me new combat techniques. Thank you for the offer and when I rebirth I will tell you. :) --Kotaroukun 18:30, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

-Whoa, very sorry about that, my friend. I'm still new to this.--Kotaroukun 9:40, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Aww, i was going to name it delete x-x --Kevin 05:32, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Enchants

I find the sorting concept very neat, but I don't understand how it sorts effects. o.0 The organization I'd use would sort it by enchant effect, with the best enchants at the top. Can you explain your sorting more? Also, I'm glad that you're working on this too! two minds are better than one. =) -- Ladywinter 08:38, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

ahh ok, now it makes more sense. Need help with the data entry? -- Ladywinter 10:55, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
hmm, then can't you refer them to the other enchant pages for notes on availability? -- Ladywinter 21:05, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
then how about a column that says 'release date', that way you don't need to keep updating it until new content, all you have to do is say "released Gen 8" or whatever. And for the non-new content say "released Generation3 or earlier". -- Ladywinter 03:06, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
glad to help! And like...well, I'm totally offering my data-entry services here, since you don't have time to work on it. =) Granted that's partly cause I really really want to use the new table myself. *wry* Also, I dunno what else I can contribute to the wiki, I find myself clicking random pages while I'm bored and most of the information that I care about already have ppl working on them and the ones that need work I know nothing about. -- Ladywinter 20:44, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
I don't know anything about cooking except what I eat from ppl's shops. Um, jellyfish salad is implemented and spicy fish stew? The Jellyfish at 5 star is +hp and int and mp but small gains. o.o -- Ladywinter 21:00, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
Well, just a thought that, with the exception of dex, CP, and stam, I don't know that people might need negative stat charts. I know people need -dex for refining, and sometimes -stam when they're playing around with food and hunger, and CP for training, but I don't know that people actually hunt for -Int or -Str. -- Ladywinter 21:09, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
Ah ok. I'd put them slightly lower on the To Do list tho, but that's just me. -- Ladywinter 07:51, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Is there anything I can help with, data-entry-wise with the enchants then? -- Ladywinter 10:16, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

lol, starting a new thread because the other was getting too long. Well, and also I guess this is a new topic: Would you like me to rough draft the table on my own user-page, or to just add on to your user page? -- Ladywinter 21:40, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

would you mind if I made a new table, that's not Dex? Or would we somehow stick them all into one large table? -- Ladywinter 01:21, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
I think the stats given by skills is very neat and useful and will save people time, so go for it! =) Sorry I haven't been more working at the enchant project, I've been poking at things with Hotarugirl regarding the monster catagories and mapping ant hell. -- Ladywinter 01:58, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
I have a thought, perhaps all this data should be deadeiry'd too? Do you know how to make a template? I understand the data entry part of it but the template setup makes me go 'wut?' -- Ladywinter 21:48, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Eureka!! Check this out. You like? =D -- Ladywinter 04:09, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

1) uhh...that's probably a coding error, lemme look into it 2) right! good point 3) ummm, I'm not sure how to do font colors in DeadEiry, the coding kinda hates you if you put a equal sign in, hmmm, but maybe I can code it into the template as a if/then? lemme look into it. 4) d'oh! that's a brain fart, I totally had the drop locations in the data I just forgot to put it into the template. XD -- Ladywinter 08:12, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

figured out how to make it colorcoded, but it means having more data entry points, ie. HPpos, HPneg, Strpos, Strneg, etc. Should I go ahead and implement this? -- Ladywinter 08:59, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
also I propose we stick "enabled regardless of rank" in the rank column in the final table, but as a separate data entry: enable= -- Ladywinter 09:02, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
the separate values for positive and negative is so that the values can be color-coded without having to recode color over and over each time you enter the data. Thus, all the formatting exists on the table level, and all the data entry on the specific page of the enchant.
No, I mean, put the green "enable" label IN as a separate piece of data, but locate it in the same column as rank.
...hmm, I'll make another template and show you what I mean for both of the above. --Ladywinter 21:11, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
DmgModifiers kinda bulky, thought? --Ladywinter 23:00, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
hmm, well my thought is that since damage is affected by str that perhaps there should be a note on that somehwere, possibly outside the table tho. Only Avenger has that weird thing with it's name, so it's the exception rather than the rule. For drop locations, perhaps I should just stick in a link to the other enchant page?
while Damage works for Damage, I can't use it for Strength, Intelligence, Crit, etc, because there already exists links relating to those subjects. Are we claiming the info in those links then, and thus remaking the links? or...? -- Ladywinter 19:32, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
But I figure since enchants like Darkness and Avenger are the exception rather than the rule that it should be fine. Regarding the redirects...hmm could you handle that side? I can't seem to figure out how to do it without it getting messy. -- Ladywinter 21:58, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
ohhhh, I think, well, I got confused somewhere along the way when I made an assumption that you'd keep all the stats on one page...I personally like that there's only one page you have to go to to find out what certain stats mean, so I thought you were planning on doing something with all the tables on one page...umm. Yeah.
I find myself still of the mind that the stats should be on one page, and they should link to things that modify the stats, because a definition of a stat and what affects a stat are two separate things. -- Ladywinter 06:42, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Er, I guess what I said was ambiguous. I mean that have all the stat DEFINITIONS be on one page, and on separate pages, that stat's modifiers. And then link to the modifier page from the definitions. -- Ladywinter 01:53, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
ohh, ok, yeah sure, lets have them on two pages then. DeadEiry would make it easier to have the info in two places. -- Ladywinter 23:27, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Ok, how's this: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/index.php?title=Category:Enchants_by_Type

I'd like some opinions before I go haring onward. XD -- Ladywinter 01:57, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Injury rate? hmmm *ponders the re-code*. do-able, if a bit tedious. Give me a bit of time XD -- Ladywinter 20:17, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
Ohhhh, I thought you meant the instances of "injury" within the code! xD sorry. -- Ladywinter 18:41, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Done, is that what you mean? -- Ladywinter 20:38, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

lol sorry, work has been picking up so I haven't been wiki-ing as much. I know what to do regarding the enchants by type, I just need to proof the rank e enchants, and re-code some stuff in the enchants by type section. I do really like that the enchants by type have been populated by others. I'll probably get it done later tonight, since I'm doing the whole, "yay free ego food, now STARVE IT" thing with the chests. -- Ladywinter 01:37, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
