Description

The Bengal is a dynamic cat full of the forceful, aggressive appeal of the wild. The Bengal's long legs and large paws are indicative of its origins as the descendant of foreign leopards.

Stories of the Bengal's origins go as far back as to ancient royal courts in which the royalty's wish to safely adopt a leopard as a pet led to selectively breeding cats over a long time, which apparently resulted in the Bengal. The mink-like, soft fur of the Bengal, in addition to its spotted coat, accompanied by its condescending yet passionate look, certainly give off a royal air to this very special cat.

The fact that the Bengal is a descendant of the leopard family is clearly evident in its extremely powerful attacks and quickly improving combat skills. But because it does possess characteristics of the wild, the Bengal has strong Life, Strength and Will. On the other hand, it is slightly lower when it comes to Intelligence as compared to other cats.

The Bengal's most important trait, however, is not that it is a descendant of the leopard, but that it has the ability to become a descendant of the Dark Knight. It is not clear whether such ability comes from the Bengal's closeness to its owner, from the belligerence that is inherent in its genetic makeup, or that the history of its genesis comes from the fact that its genetic pool had been born out of human desires, rather than natural selection processes.

In any case, if/whenever the owner of the Bengal transforms into a Dark Knight him/herself, the Bengal will share in the powers of Darkness, and transform as well. If the owner summons the Bengal while in the state of being a Dark Knight, the Bengal will appear in the form of a Dark Knight, and turn back as soon as the owner's transformation is undone.

The Bengal's transformation skill can be used just once a day in Erinn time, just as it is for the owner of the cat.

The owner of the Bengal will find his/her Stamina and Critical Hit skills improving while the Bengal is summoned. Also, because the Bengal has excellent combat skills including high-ranking levels of Defense, Smash and Counterattack skills, the owner should see the benefits of having this pet in a very apparent way.

The Bengal, with its leopard-like long face and round nose and its fancy coat, is a perfect fit for individuals who are passionate and expressive. If you are looking for an ideal partner to join you on your passion-filled journey, the Bengal may be the perfect choice for you.

Special Ability - Dark Knight Transformation

  • Once per Erinn day, when the Bengal is summoned while its master is transformed into a Dark Knight with Soul of Chaos, the Bengal will undergo a similar transformation.
    • While transformed, the Bengal's appearance will change; it will wear a title identical to that of its master, and its stats will increase by 20% of the stat increase granted to the master by his own Dark Knight transformation skills.
      • This transformation directly increases the Bengal's Life, Mana, Stamina, Strength, Intelligence, Dexterity, Injury, Critical, and Balance.
      • For example, if the Bengal's master has Rank 1 Body of Chaos and receives a 100% modifier for that skill, the master would gain 200 Strength and the Bengal would then gain 40 Strength (200 * 0.2 = 40). If the master instead got the 180% modifier for Body of Chaos, the master would gain 360 Strength and the Bengal would gain 72 Strength.
      • The Bengal's transformation has the same appearance no matter which title it possesses. A Bengal with "the Dark Knight" title will look the same as one with "the Infra Black" title.
  • Take note that the Bengal does not actually possess Soul of Chaos or any other Dark Knight transformation skills. The transformation is solely tied to the Bengal's Special Ability.
    • Because of this, you cannot transform while playing as the Bengal, and you cannot force the Bengal to transform while it is summoned other than through using Soul of Chaos yourself.
