Details

The information window for a plot's installation requirements.

While developing Moonlight Island, Islander NPCs may help in the production of items.

  • The amount of plots you may have in the island is dependent on both island level and island skills.
  • Plots come in the following sizes:
    • 7x7
    • 9x9
    • 11x11
    • 13x13
    • 15x15
    • 17x17
    • 19x19
    • 21x21
  • Plots cannot overlap one another.
  • Make sure to install a plot of sufficient size for the amount of items that will be required to be placed on it to level it up.
    • To consider: If you wish to eventually install a large, 2-floor house in your plot, you should be using a plot at least 13x13 in size, otherwise you will only have enough space for the moon-drenched 1-floor house (9x9 plot size minimum) or a tent.
  • After being placed down, in order to utilize a plot, it must have a Production Level of 1.
  • You may click on the signpost from any distance as long it is within your line of view.
    • You may wish to have the signposts near your island's spawn point for ease of interaction.
    • You can access the installation requirements window by right-clicking on the plot's signpost and selecting the first option.
    • Left-clicking on the signpost will instead take you to the production window.
  • From the installation requirements window, you may click on every unfulfilled listing to filter the exact prop type that meets that condition.
    • For instance, clicking 'Install Box' on the production requirement window will filter all buildable items to only the 'box'-type props that will count towards that requirement.

Restrictions

  • Having a production task in progress will prevent you from accessing the plot building window, just like it will prevent you from modifying the islander's gear, or make any changes to the plot.
  • While production is in progress on any plot in the island, you may not reset Moonlight Island Skills.

Plot Types

The building list slightly changes when you are in the plot building menu.

All plots cost 30 Homestead Stones to build, regardless of size.

  • Having a higher-leveled plot will provide you with multiple boons:
    • Higher Production Capacity for the island;
      • Level 1 : +100
      • Level 2 : +150
      • Level 3 : +200
    • Being able to assign more islanders to a production task
      • Level 1: 1 worker
      • Level 2: 2 workers
      • Level 3: 3 workers
  • Ornaments and buildings used in lower levels will also count towards the higher-leveled plot requirements.
    • Ex: you need 1 Well for Lv. 1 Medicine plots, and 2 wells for level 2. You would only need one more well to place down for level 2 since you already have one placed down.
  • All required props must fully be within the plot for them to count towards the plot level.
  • Plot posts can be placed near any edge of the island, even if it overflows into a currently inaccessible area.

While you are building plots, the item's preview will be disabled and the prop type tabs will be removed.

Production

the production window.
  • After a plot has reached a minimum level of 1, you can start assigning production tasks to Islanders.
    • You must have Islanders available to assign to a plot in order to produce items.
  • The amount of materials required will be dependent on the item crafted, and have generally higher costs than if the player made the item themselves.
  • Completing Moonlight Island Production will reward the Islanders with experience points, as well as Island experience.

In order to be able to start a production task, the following requirements must be met:

  • At least 1 NPC assigned to the task;
    • You will not be able to assign tasks to an NPC that has been placed on the island.
  • Owning the materials required in the Island Storage;
    • You can tick the 'Also Use Materials In Inventory' checkbox in order to use your own inventory as a source of materials
  • Meeting the Islander Skill Level, cumulatively, between all NPCs assigned to the production task
    • Higher-grade materials will require a higher Islander Skill level.
  • Have sufficient Production Capacity.
  • The Islander must have enough Endurance to complete the task
  • Higher difficulty tasks will require a higher Islander skill level.
  • Certain Moonlight Island Skills may reduce the Islander skill level requirement, crafting time, and Production Capacity usage.

Plot Types

  • Blacksmithing:Produce Blacksmithed or Refining items.
  • Tailoring:Produce Tailoring or Weaving items.
  • Carpentry:Produce Carpentry or Handicrafted items.
  • Medicine:Produce potions or unique boost potions.
  • Cooking:Produce dishes that the islanders can eat or seasoning.
    • All dishes made by islanders will have a 3-star rating.

Special Production

  • Islanders can produce special things that can only be made by them.
  • In order to access Special Production, the island's owner must have put points into the Moonlight Island Skills: Special Recipe, at the cost of 5 points each.
    • Certain items required to upgrade the island can only be found through this production menu.

Helping Islanders

The window when production is in progress, showing time left and help requests.
  • You can help islanders finish their task faster by giving them items they ask for.
  • The items that will be requested are dependent on the following:
    • Item Crafted
    • Plot Level
    • Number of Islanders at the production plot?
  • Having a higher-ranked plot will also allow you to help more times.
  • Certain help requests will reduce the production time by a greater amount.
  • Island Skills may also allow you to help islanders more times.

You may change an islander's item request by clicking on the Modify Help button. The request may be changed with a gold fee.

  • Level 1 plot: 2,000 Gold
  • Level 2 plot: 5,000 Gold
  • Level 3 plot: 10,000 Gold
