Talk:Christmas Event (2009)
I guess Ill start this discussion page then. >.>; Anyways, So far, you get a keyword from adding ONE ornamnent(5 small gems, 5 large nails, 5 branches, 1 ball of yarn, and the Handicraft Skill. 99% success rate) to the tree in Emain Macha. This keyword is "Gift". Upon talking to Santas helper with this keyword, you gain the "Christmas Spirit" Title, the antlers, and a random colored candy cane. Mine is purplish, but Ive seen orange and reds too. All the antlers Ive seen are white with a red band. Then there is the snowman event. From THAT event, upon adding a snowball (Made from gathering 5 snows and the handicraft skill, 99% success rate), you gain the keyword "Christmas". Talk to the Santas Helper with this keyword, and gain an unknown antlers item. So far, it has NO title and NO description, however. These are gold, with a red band. So far, it seems that adding ornaments to a completed snowman has no effect, as when I did it it just told me to "Keep adding more ornaments to decorate." however, Ill update as I go on.--Yuuka 23:34, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- I also want to add that making the snowman takes an EXTREMELY large amount of snowballs. One person will not be able to do this themselves. Try to find a channel with one that is already large, and with people there working on it, and start there. So far, there is one I know of, completed in channel 4 of Mari server.--Yuuka 23:37, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- For when they add the page with the new, unnamed "Gold Antlers", I made some pictures for it... I dont know how I would make a page for it though. Im not sure if I should put it here, but yea...>.>; Links. *Took em out, uploaded instead* And I got one of the Ornament, too. *taken out* --Yuuka 00:03, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'd just like to make it clear, crafting these items with Handicraft is NOT a guaranteed 99% success. It depends on your Handicraft rank, Dexterity, along with other factors (Prod Mastery? Mondays? I don't know). My Tailor with Rank B Handicraft and 76 Dex has a 99% chance, while my main Human with F Handicraft and 38 Dex has an 86% chance. My Giant with F Handicraft and 39 Dex has an 84% chance (why my giant, with one more Dex/same Handicraft as my human is less, I don't know. Maybe they factor dex less than others or something). --Rusty 13:24, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
- About your giant having less chance than your human. Maybe your human was in a party (production bonus from others prod. mastery) or had a higher production mastery? -Tylian 18:20, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
It seems that punching the Christmas Tree will trigger the ski event quest as complete.
- So does hitting the snowman. -Tylian 18:17, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
