Talk:NPC Gift Quests

From Mabinogi World Wiki

Aeira's Obtaining Music Theory

The info in the Objective section is incorrect.

  • That info is a possible minimum requirement that will get the book in the quickest time, if she is at the default intimacy level with a player.
  • Even if she is at the default intimacy level with a player she still does not always give the book if you just gift her 5 Anthology Books and 2 Cubic Puzzles and use the keywords "Private Story" and "Nearby Rumors" between gifts.
  • The use of the keywords "Private Story" and "Nearby Rumors" (given in Additional Advice section) are in fact part of the requirement and should be with the gifted items in the Objective section. If you dont use them then you will definitely need to gift more items.
  • If you have been doing her part-time job then it will take less of those items to obtain the book.
  • Her intimacy can be raised to a lesser extent by gifting her single gold coins, it may be possible to lower the required number of desired items by gifting a gold coin before an item (it seems to work by reducing the number of items required to open her secret shop which also appears to work with other NPCs). However, gold coins alone wont work, they seem to be more a catalyst than an actual desired item.
  • Just going to her a number of times and using the keywords "Private Story" and "Nearby Rumors" will raise her intimacy a small amount. It wont get the book but may reduce the required number of items.
  • You can lower your intimacy level with an NPC by giving them undesired items. It appears that a few items are desired by an NPC, a majority of items have little or no effect and a few items are disliked by an NPC. I dont know whether you can actually go lower than the default intimacy level (that is, get the NPC to dislike or hate you) but if you can then it would require more desired items to gain the book.

Anyway, the point is that the book is granted when a certain unknown level of intimacy is obtained and not the number of desired items she is gifted. Her intimacy level appears to be influenced by a number of factors, one of which is how many of the items she desires are gifted to her. --ZRoc (Talk) 10:10, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Reformatting?

None of these quests are actually quests. I wouldn't really consider Aeira's book thing to be a quest, but I definitely would for Rua. Should we reformat them? (Not that I can think of an appropriate way to format them yet.) Also, should we link to this page on their appropriate NPC pages?
