Talk:Sulfur Pits

Umm, there are two sulphur pit locations, one as mentioned on this page and just a little further west (just east of Raspa Volcano). The sulphur pit nearest to Raspa Volcano has monsters in it but NEITHER site has Sulphur Golems (I have been in both for long periods of time and I mined all over each of those sites without encountering a single golem of any kind). Both sites can be reached by foot (by yourself or on a pet), flying on a pet or using a Hot-Air Balloon. The sulphur pit closer to the Calida Exploration Camp will start poisoning you almost as soon as you set foot in it, however, the sulphur pit closer to Raspa Volcano appears to allow you part way in (enough to mine a few sulphur deposits) without being poisoned. --ZRoc (Talk) 10:53, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Actually, you only get poisoned if you're basically RIGHT in the center of it, which is also a disadvantage, because that's where quite a few monsters are, and so if you're in deadly, and get attacked...yea.--^♪♫_♪♫ѕταя♪^♫♪_♫^ταιқ♪♫_♪ 14:15, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

The sulfur golems in the big pit has 2 fossil's in each golem that I have come across, some of the golems are already dead but, some are still alive. If you are an elf you can mine 1 fossil or ore and use hide before it attacks, if your a human or giant u can just use a bird to mine then fly and it will stop attacking you. Usually the first or second thing you get is the fossil sometimes you can get both right off. Not much sulfur on the golems tho so its pretty fast getting the fossil. --Jkeggereis 07:47, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Adding a list of monsters for this area.

Because it's useful to know what you're up against if something aggros you while mining. And I'm including Sulfur Golems, despite what someone might have said above, because I just had the scare of my life at the smaller pit when I stuck my pickaxe into a pile of stones and got pwned by them.
