Shadow of Spirit damage modifiers

Since it's damage is being researched right now I thought it might be nice having a place to discuss it and share information.

Well what I can say for myself is...

• Currently I notice a 1 point damage decrease with each novice skill I get and a 1 point increase per skill rank I gain.

• Not all skill ranks are added together or I would be causing 700+ damage instead of in the 500 range.

• My different characters do not always gain damage from ranking the same skills.

does anyone know if dan ranks also increase damage? if so then it would be the first actual use for them <.<
