The Phoenix Title

I have confirmed this on three characters. The title isn't awarded by just opening the box, you need to stand or sit near a fire for 3 minutes and play at least one song then hatch the egg to get the title.

Is that supposed to be while it's incubating and getting the 600 points or can it be after (but before 7PST when it hatches)?

It has to be while incubating, as in before it hatches. The points it has when hatching is irrelevant.

The points it has when hatching are irrelevant? WUT? No, that makes no sense...it still has to have 600 by 7PM PST or you won't get the title either.

Hmm, that is a possibility. All three of my characters were on for over ten hours.

I played the song and stood by a fire until the egg had both affects, but still didn't get the title the first time because I didn't accumulate the 600 points.

Don't you need to do those things to get the Finest Gift Box in the first place, though? Additionally, I did do that, got a Regular Box and didn't get the title. Similar to what TheFarix said.
