I went ahead and tested it so don't worry about anything. Aside from the regular event wax wings, it was also found that the dungeon event wax wings were also untradable.
@Recent Edit to Treasure Box Event (April 2014)
(At least as far as last year went) Reforging Tools from the event are also able to be stored on pets, just not tradable to other players—hence the (Untradable) tag. Have you attempted to trade it?
Reason for asking: edit summary was "wax wings can be stored on pets"
