Herb Pig Investigation

In the coming days, I will be investigating the ratio of all the herbs obtainable from the Herb Pig. As you may already know, to pluck Herbs from the Herb Pig takes twice as long and twice the stamina of a standard patch pluck, and costs the pig 5 MP per harvested herb. But no one seems to know the ratios of each herb that come from the Herb Pig. As I continue plucking from my pig throughout the week, I will be seeking an answer to that question, and in the end will present my findings.

Very early results show that Sunlight, Mana, and White herbs hold a 20% harvesting chance. However this may change as more sample data is collected.

After ten samplings of herbs of varying sizes due to bag constraints, here is the data for the herbs.

Removing the largest and smallest of each to get a better average really doesn't change the stats by more than a half percent. So the results are as follows: Green herbs have between a 31 and 32% chance, while Red herbs have 20 to 21. Yellow and White herbs are on par at around 16%, and bringing up the rear for the common herbs is Blue at 12. Golden herbs, the rarest of them, get a meager 3%.

Tracy's Hunt Red Bears quest? Where did this come from?

Last night, I was doing my G2 mainstream quests when an owl ran into me with a quest from Tracy to "Hunt Red Bears" even though it's only to hunt 1 Red Bear. The reward was 1 AP, and it isn't listed on Mabiwiki anywhere, even in the Beginner Quests section. It seems rather random considering I don't talk to Tracy at all. Has anyone else gotten this quest? Same thing happened to me not too long ago (I love how this response is almost a year late..), cept with red foxes. Goal was to kill 30 read foxes. *shrug*--αму^ταιқ♪♫_♪ 01:49, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
