Cuz I want to.
Why am I writing something here? *points to the section name*. Anyway, your info in "Colors" is correct, but not correct. The info you provided is true for colors in pigment. Not for light. Pigment = goodies like when you color with crayons, colored pencils, etc. Basically stuff you color with in the "real world". In the world of technology (welcome to the 21st century), the primary colors are red, green (in pigment, it can be seen as like.. a limeish green. Between yellow and green), and blue. That's just about the only difference. Because of that, the secondary colors are a little different too. As shown here:
..Math. | Result |
---|---|
R + G | Yellow |
R + B | Magenta |
B + G | Cyan |
My sis once mentioned something about how in light, the colors subtract. I didn't know what she meant, and I doubt you do either, but we're just learning about waves in science, and we're learning how in some cases, waves cancel out. As in, if colors get lighter, when they "should" get darker (as in the case of... blue & green and red & green.. and maybe red & blue lol), it'd make sense for them to get lighter.--Яειм 's Talk 21:48, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
P.S. HSL. Hue = rainbowness. S = from the color determined by the hue ~ white. L = I'm guessing from color ~ black. On Paint.NET, which is just about the only art program I have that shows color in hexadecimal format, there isn't "Lightness", but "V". (Haven't figured out what it stood for lololol.) And "V" is like.. The color determined by Saturation thru black. So... It can be like a light dark green. Yea. So basically, in this case, "V" 'depends' on saturation, saturation 'depends' on hue, and hue is free to be whatever it feels like being. Well... S and V are buddies, because like.. when V is darkish, S will be too, and when S is colorful/lightish, then V will be too. Hue.. isn't affected by anything lol (lonely much)
