Basic Information

• Argus are giant humanoid-like creatures with many eyes. The Story of a Lizard describes how Argus were born.
• Argus or Argos is the name of a giant Greek guardian known as Argus Panoptes.
  • Argus likely originates from the Ancient Greek word ᾰ̓ργός (meaning shining, swift, or glistening).
  • Panoptes is the Greek word πανόπτης (meaning all-seeing).
• All Argus have Smash, Defense, Stomp, and behave very similarly to Ogres.

Notes & Advice Notes If it uses a skill, it's safe to assume that it's either Defense or Stomp because Argus rarely Smashes. Players who meet Argus at close-range with a dungeon door in between can still be damaged by Stomp, so don't assume dungeon doors will always shield you. The range of the Argus's Stomp is nearly half the size of a normal dungeon room. Advice Fire Counter proves to be useful against these.
