Description

A pale man looks at you with forlorn eyes. His wispy gray hair is reminiscent of a dust bunny floating in a sunbeam. His demeanor is as warm as welcoming as a ray of Palala's light, but it never quite reaches his eyes, which are cold and distant as the light of Ladeca.

Iwan is one of the townspeople of Port Cobh. He is a sickly man who coughs often. Not a day passes without him taking chrysanthemum tea to soothe his lungs.

History

Samhain: Times Remembered, Times Forgotten Event

Iwan, who was not in fact Aleyn's father but his son, had a close relationship with his dad, his only living relative. However, over the years, his father gradually lost his memories due to a disease, and needed Iwan to take care of him. The disease had progressed so far that Aleyn thought of himself to be Iwan's son, and even called him 'dad'. One Samhain night, Iwan stayed outside later than he usually would to play with two friends, instead of heading back home to take care of his father. While waiting for him, Aleyn had started a kettle to make Chrysanthemum tea, as he always did every time Iwan came home. However, the kettle was left unattended, and the house burned down, taking Aleyn's life with it. Iwan had been blaming himself for his father's death since.

The Milletian's visit, and later's Aleyn's, disguised as Bleiddian, helped alleviate that guilt with Aleyn telling him he wasn't at fault. While Iwan did not know he was visited by his father, he remained grateful to the Midnight Agents and the Milletian for relaying Aleyn's messages to him.
