% increase?

Similar to my question on Smash Enhancement, how does this affect the skills? Does 800% becomes 830% or 1040%?

Doomsday31415 (talk)07:58, 20 March 2013

I'm pretty sure it would be "[Base damage %] + [Mastery Bonus]". I doubt it's "[Base Damage %] + ([Base Damage %]x[Mastery bonus])" or something like that.

More like it's (Chain Skill %) * 1.X where x is the bonus from Combo Mastery. If I may use my stats as an example...

291 (my max damage with knuckles atm) * 4 ( r1 Focused) = 1164

1164 * 1.75 (Fully charged Focus) = 2037

2037 * 1.4 ( r1 Chain as a Giant) = 2851.4 rounded down to 2851

That end result is VERY close to the highest I've hit. (test subjects were bears)

Training Requirements

So they're really similar to Windmill's later ranks?

... You've got to be kidding me.

Infodude57518:46, 4 June 2012

Since we can make chains with the skills, the time to train them will greatly reduce. The only thing holding me back though... is the lack of ap. :P

SoraHikari16:57, 5 June 2012

Its still freaking long.

Infodude57517:02, 5 June 2012

I'm with SoraHikari on this one. Only thing killing me is the lack of AP.

Onionsong17:06, 5 June 2012

I've seen worse. I did wm training on my human, giant, and elf-- all without destinies. :< (had to use -cp gear because I didn't know about cp back then :P)

SoraHikari18:13, 5 June 2012

I personally found windmill training (without destiny) to be much easier than chain mastery training (with destiny).

Jessha (talk)16:12, 29 August 2012

But then again, Windmill was made more easier...

Infodude575 (talk)16:23, 29 August 2012

Trust me, I mastered it long before it was made easier. Combo Mastery is still more annoying than windmill ever was. With windmill, you can get multiple points for using the skill once. With chain mastery, using it once counts once. It also starts asking for crazy numbers sooner than windmill did.

Just to be sure I understand, Giants take no penalty at all when using Drop Kick and Pummel while in Heavy Armor?

Onionsong00:14, 6 June 2012

I took out the effects listed (+x% damage) because it varies with each race. I think that it would appear cluttered if each race's different attributes were listed so I'm leaving the effects part blank.

Also as a side note, if anybody could get the values to finish the table for r5, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Cooldown Reduction

Giants started getting Cooldown reduction at Rank A. Starting at 5% then 7% at r9, 8% at r8.

I'm not sure on Humans/elves if they don't get it till Rank 5 or not. I just know giants get it much earlier than rank 5 and I don't know how to edit the table.

Kendoza14:01, 1 June 2012

That's strange. I wonder if humans get any that early (but not as much of course).

DANTE20XX14:06, 1 June 2012

So, its 5% at A, 7% at 9, 8% at 8, am I reading this right?

Uh, why the heck does it say 5% at B?

Infodude57522:00, 1 June 2012

I don't know if it started at Rank B. I only noticed it at rank A. It might've of started of B with 5%, then A with 6%. I do know with certainty that rank 9 is 7% and r8 is 8% and r7 is 9%

Skill availability

Will this skill and all other skills from the new fighter destiny be available to people of other destinies, much like fusion bolt can be used by merchants? --Zaros 15:21, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

Zaros08:21, 10 May 2012

Mabinogi never had "class-locked" skills. At one point it did in a beta test, but the idea was scrapped due to player outrage. You can use any skill of any destiny regardless of chosen destiny. Only benefits are training bonuses, which is doubled depending on what destiny you picked.
