Talk:Ice Hold

From Mabinogi World Wiki

The skillinfo.xml says this skill is called "Ice Hug"

<Skill SkillID="30303" Version="1" SkillEngName="icehug" SkillLocalName="_LT[xml.skillinfo.519]" SkillType="3" SkillCategory="3"
Season="0" DescName="IceHug" UIType="0" MaxStackNum="1" StackLimitTime="0" UseType="0" RaceBasic="0" BasicType="0"
IsHidden="false" IsSpecialAction="false" LvZeroUsable="true" OnceALife="false" TransformType="0" ParentSkill="0"
TargetPreference="" TargetRange="2000" ImageFile="data/gfx/image/gui_icon_skill_000.dds" PositionX="0" PositionY="0"
ClosedDesc="_LT[xml.skillinfo.193]" SkillDesc="_LT[xml.skillinfo.812]"
PrepareLock="lock(walk,run,hit)" WaitLock="lock(walk, run, hit);unlock(attack,stance,useitem)" ProcessLock="" CompleteLock="" />

What I'm getting from this is..
"SkillType="3" " = Magic attack.
"TargetRange="2000" " = Range of 2000cm. -Does this mean the clone can only travel 2000 or you can be targetted within 2000? The skill LOAD is interrupted if attacked, stance change, or an item is used.
zz xml files are so odd to read. Zephyre 14:24, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Sorry if this is off topic, but if attacking the clone does not stop it...is there a way to counter/combat this ability at all? We should include that if possible. Thanks. --Hunter9009/Leif~Chaz 04:00, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

When this is being used on you, Do you lose a certain amount of hp at a fixed interval, with the amount you lost displayed above your char, as if you were poisoned or hit with mirage missile, or does it steadily decrease as it would with DK disarm? If it's the former, then does wearing 9 ice equips slow it down? and if you use ice shield before she throws her self at you, does it make a difference?--Sozen Cratos Focker 06:07, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

When I got hit by an Ice Hold, I roughly had 380 HP. The Ice Hold drained my life until about 120. What I'm getting at is that I didn't die from the Ice Hold. Of course, I wasn't able to move after that, it was as if I was stuck behind a wall or something.--ZephyreTALK 07:17, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
