Impending changes to the Skill pages for organization | 6 | 21:00, 22 December 2010 |
Some of you may have noticed that some skill pages have become incredibly long and unorganized. I have designed this template to be used later to remedy this. I will not put it in place yet because it still needs work and I know others have been wanting to put some changes to the skill pages themselves for a long time.
This is your chance. Say it now.
I think that battle tactics should not be on the skill page because mabinogi's combat system is fairly flexible and its just begging for 4 pages of HowTo's.
Could you clarify what's supposed to go under "Functions," "Enhancements," and "Hidden Effects"? Also I don't think training tips should be listed under each rank. Maybe make a new section just for Training Tips.
I don't think we should have any sort of training tips. I think the only thing we need in regards to training are clarifications, like how blaze says "use the skill just before the enemy is knocked down" would merit an explanation as to what that entails.
The training tips do not have to be long detailed ones. Something along the lines of which training methods are best to train together or certain item(s) that can make the training go easier/quicker would be sufficient. To clarify what I meant by each subcategory... Functions is how the the skill works. Enhancements is how the skill changes as it is ranked. Hidden effects are like how windmill has invisibility frames or how shock boosts Brionac's damage.
By that definition, enhancements is already taken care of in the summary table and the training method so it's not needed for most skills. I guess you'd put "Increases range at rank 5" for windmill under that, for example?
