Where are they classified as blunts in-game? They have seperate animations and masteries.

Blunt Mastery, Axe Mastery, some other pages also say the same thing.

The only real reason I can see is that Axes use Blunt Spirits, but that does not prove or disprove them being blunts. *Neutral*
