How do you get out if there's no end-of-dungeon statue?

It gives you a wing to the entrance of the dungeon.
Of course, you could just die and teleport to the last town.

Yeah, all those methods make the statue feel so neglected. I did this one Generation 11 quest (I think? It was so long so I don't remember) that required me to exit through the altar... I continent warped. I had to do it all over again Q.Q.
