The Hot-Air Chase

Just to be clear, this balloon isn't the same as a typical balloon outside of the mission. You can heal it and the ballista's mechanic has a "first person shooter" ish minigame instead of mabi archery.

Anyway, while it makes sense that everyone has the same stats, since this is an RP mission, a lot of people are claiming otherwise. Four people have told me that the wyverns creamed them in just two minutes, but I barely took any damage. Kingofrunes here also took miniscule damage and didn't use flint even once, but in his KR attempt for whatever reason he's taking far more damage than in his NA version.

I'm trying to understand why some are taking more/less damage than others. I've yet to see someone show their stats while inside the mission; it just doesn't make sense when RP missions are supposed to give everyone the same fixed stats and equalize the difficulty for all.

Since when was this a rule? This is a game; they can program it however they want. If they want to give the actual stats of the character to the RP version of the character, they can. No where does it state that an RP must have fixed stats, regardless.

In every other RP so far, stats have been fixed. You do realize that Info was asking to double check that this is still the case right?

I'm simply calling out his claim; there is no "supposed" rule that all RPs must have fixed stats for the player. And I suppose that you've checked every other RP so far to ensure your claim?

Someone on IRC pointed out that advancement tests for dan ranks break this rule, but every other RP for story has followed this rule thus far. RPs for events and side quests follow this as well.
