Taming With This Cane

Taming With This Cane

You CAN actually tame with this cane. You just can't equip the bait the normal way. If you drop it then pick it up again, it will auto-equip into the left hand.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit suspicious that it gave a bonus, but you couldn't tame.

I can't equip bait with this wand, Period. But I can tame without bait. I can also equip it with a shield

So, YOU do equip bait. I had several stacks in my inventory so I didn't notice, it doesn't display in the equipped slot for some reason. If you take the wand off though it'll pop back into your inventory. You can equip bait and shield because of this glitch though, but your animations will run like you're not wearing a shield.

Can somebody confirm that when you have a shield with this wand and glitched bait onto it, does the shield's affects still take place?

I'm fairly certain the shield's effects still work, even if the shield is invisible (I can use Charge with it invisible, when I get back on I'll test if it blocks more damage or the equivalent of no shield)

Also, test this with an Avon Shield to see if you get a charge enhancement. If I get this cane before this is answered (highly unlikely), then I'll report my answer here.

I hope you can test it then, I have no intentions for getting an Avon Shield (though I would like one very much).

EDIT::

Found this directly on the page, someone already tested it: "Due to its wand function, Blaze and SHIELDS are operable with the cane."

That doesn't mean it's true, it may be an untrue assumption or rumor (like Elatha is Morgant's son).

Just to finish this off, you do get the charge enhancement effect.
