Elemental Reforge

For the Ice, Lightning, and Fire reforges, do they work the same way as the elementals that are used to 'enchant' the element on it? If so, would adding a Fire attribute to a Fire Level 2 weapon cause the the level to increase to 3? What if it is enchanted with an opposing element; would the elemental be nullified or would it display both elementals?

Just to add on to the question, if they do work like elementals (don't say they do unless you for sure know), and they don't nullify each other, would that mean you're able to completely block out the damage of two of the three elements to 1s if you have enough of both?

They work similarly in some situations, but are not the same. Adding a "Fire" enchantment on a "Fire 2" reforged weapon (+11.1% damage on neutral enemies) will not create the same effect as a "Fire 3" reforged weapon (+22% damage on neutral enemies).

It's very technical and may not exactly address all the information that normal players need regarding elemental reforges, but it's a good resource.

Speaking of, why isn't there a dedicated page on this wiki for elemental reforges? They are highly complex, and information about them is always in high demand because of how overpowering and effective these reforges are in comparison to everything else. There's always people asking tons of questions about them, and I really don't think that a small and oversimplified description in the Reforging page is good enough for that.

If elemental reforges do work the way Solar demonstrates it, then elemental-enchanted equipment should work the same way...

Elemental enchanted equipment does not, however.

Despite being similar in concept and some functionality, reforge elemental and elemental enchantment attribute are governed by completely different gameplay mechanics.
